Yup. It’s either this or too much P left in buds.
Thanks BB.
On day-36 for the girls, we began some gentle stretching exercises
And here they are on day-38 after another minor LST adjustment. I think they’re begging for more ![]()
So far, these truffle-babies are showing great growth, robust stems, and huge fan leaves. I have been trimming some of those out, but I have a feeling there’s going to be a whole lot of defoiliation happening with these genetics. Thanks for watching!
You gonna remove some lowers to get better air flow down there? If touching the straw, I remove them.
Just noticed you had some barley sprouts. I’d also pull them and toss on top. Look up the USDA on barley. They inhibit growth.
I’ve been slackin on the updates, sorry about that.
The two truffle girls are doing just fine…nothing but RO water w/ Cal-mag and recently a bit of coconut water as we head into the flip.
Here they are day-72. Just before defoliation:
And again on day-73, after defoliation and pre-flower amendments:
I dropped the lighting back to 16/8 for a week of pre-flower, then will flip them to 12/12.
For the curious, I’ve been keeping the PPFD levels at 450 during veg. Moved it up a tad to 550 for pre-flower, and will bump it up to 700 next week for the flip into flower. I keep it simple, and follow the BAS environmental guide mostly (with help from @Budbrother and others of course!)
Thanks for watching.
Hi there grow-friends, and happy holidays!
It’s been busy on the Alien Shore, visiting friends and family, hosting some holiday festivities, and getting ready for the year-end celebrations.
The Truffle-girls are busy stretchin’ and drinkin’. Not a whole lot to report in terms of detailed husbandry since the flip-to-flower. The pre-flower amendments are obviously kickin’ butt, since we’re not seeing any of the symptoms of nutrient deficiency that we saw on the first grow. The first couple of waterings heading into flower we added a little coconut water to the normal cal-mag mix, and I think that’s gonna carry them through to the end in terms of anything other than just the normal watering. Here is an updated pic from day #104 (which is day-25 since flip):
I’m noticing some pretty big differences in these girls compared to our first grow. The stems are much sturdier and robust (could be part genes, and I think a lot to do with using cal-mag this time in the RO water). The stretch is considerably more vertical growth, and faster. I’m pretty stoked about how many bud sites are on these colas. I think just the 2 plants are gonna yield a good bit more than the last harvest, but we’ll see.
As always, thanks for watching and contributing to ILGM forum - it’s a great resource for us all!
Looking mighty fine @Alien_Shore beautiful girls nicely done my friend happy growing
Been offline for a while for the holidays - here’s a quick update on grow #2.
While I was out of town, the girls got pretty dried out and they were mad at me. I think there was some premature eating of their lower fan leaves - no worries, just auto-defoliation! ![]()
Here they are on day 120 (6 weeks of flower):
I’ll say this - these girls are stinking up the entire place! Last grow had nothing on these things. They are SUPER STANKY. ![]()
Been busy with all kinds of stuff, but here’s a quick update.
Truffle bitches are now at week 7 of flower. The stink is real. Had to put another carbon blocker on the exhaust line LoL

They are starting to slow down the water a bit. I gave them the last cal mag and coconut on day 125, now they are just getting straight RO water. I hope they beef up more - I’d like to see 'em a bit fatter before

@Alien_Shore nicely done my friend happy growing
Thank you my friend. Appreciate you watchin’ over my stuff ![]()
Here’s a couple of bud shots taken day-52 of flower:
Happy growing, mes amies!
@Alien_Shore beautiful buds my friend nicely done happy growing
Hey hey how’s everyone doing? I’ve been away for a while - life has gotten busy as crap. Figured I’d check back in and post a couple of updates. The truffle grow finished up on day-148 (day-69 of flower). This grow has been a bit disappointing at the end. The buds were pretty larfy, although the trics were thick and the terps were pretty amazing. Here is what they looked like on chop day:
I did a better job this time of drying (partially because the weather is cold outside so keeping the temps at 60 was easier, but I had to run the humidifier a lot to keep up 60% RH in the drying room.
I did NOT do wet trimming this time. I waited 26 days (a few days too long I think!) and did dry trimming. The buds are great texture, just loose and lighter than my first grow. The yield was a lot less than the first grow too (down about 45%). Maybe I didn’t let them veg long enough, or genetics, or both.
Thanks for watching, and good growin’ to y’all!
Harvest congratulations

Congrats on the harvest! ![]()
Congratulations @Alien_Shore

Looks great my grommie and you can keep a plant in veg for up to 2 years I’ve heard so not to long in veg sir.
Happy growing and happy Sunday my gs ![]()

Hey Hey - after taking a few months off, I’m kicking off another grow.
This time it’s going to be my first ILGM strain.
I dropped two seeds on 9/4, and they were peeping out 24 hrs later. I let them soak in 25% peroxide water solution for another 2 days. Tap roots were 8mm by day 3, so into the solo cups they went… here they are in their comfy nursery complete with sauna helmets, trying their best to push up some dirt.
I’ve been SO bad about posting…sorry 'bout that - RL is keeping me busy ![]()
Anyhow, Alien Grow #3 continues!
I tried several times get MW seeds to germinate and sprout, I think there were about 5 or 6 duds. So the first one is the only one in this grow ![]()
Here she is at day-14:
While she was spending time in the nursery (lights 24x7), gentle breeze… I mixed up a new 15g container full of BAS3.0, some worm castings, and a bit of craft blend, watered generously and let that percolate for about a month. After spending about a month in the nursery (I had topped her at day-26), the little Mowie girly got xplanted to the 15g container in the tent (when transplanting, I filled the hole in the 15g container with myco powder). She started in the tent with a 16/8 cycle under the EVO6. Humidity set to 60%.
On day-41, she had responded great to the new soil and the light, so I gave her the tough-love
LST round #1. Here she is a week later on day-48:
