Everybody is here to help you. As far as starting seeds, youll find diffrent processes. I can tell you this from my experience. Once a seed has soaked for 18-24 hours, it has enough water to open up and stretch for more. 2 experiences ive had. First i couldn’t get any seeds to pop. Id soak them then place in another moist environment then into moist pods. Switched up to just the 18-24 hour soak. Into a dry medium and i started having success. No tails, No dome, no misting. Next experience was put a soaked bean into a damp pot and it never popped until i put the pot outside and it dried up. Came right out. All this to say i think once they soak. They have enough moisture to get out of the ground until the next rain comes. Its so easy to oversoak because all rhe methods are soak in this then soak in that. I soak 18-24 hours, straight into dry medium and no water until they pop up and very little after that until nodes start developing. Thats just how I have been doing it and with decent success.

I agree and I think this is my issue. I’m wetting the soil too much before. I wasn’t having a problem with soil straight out of the bag but for the last two grows, I’ve been re-amending my used soil and I’m pretty sure I’m getting it too wet. :victory_hand:

I’m an organic grower, and I don’t delve into the salt world. If you start a journal, I’ll be there to support you where I can. If you tell me the brand of nutrition you plan to use, I’ll tag people experienced with your products. I’m sure you’ll find a mentor.

Is there a specific Template that I need to copy paste in the new journal? And does the journal have to be for a new grow only, like starting from seed? Or can it be anything?

There isn’t one you need to copy paste or use. I think it’s OK to start with pics and a description of how/what you use and anything you wanna share.
The support ticket like you already did is nice to have when info is needed.
And there’s a new template from Olaf’s recent post..

Yes you can start your journal during any stage of growth.

OK, sounds good, Thank you everyone! I am working on the journal entry now. I will report back when it is time to feed these sick girls on this ticket, in hopes to nurse them back to healthy plants.

OK, the Strawberry Cough should be down to 3lbs tomorrow, And ready to feed…Yes I still use a scale to figure out when they are dried back. lol …. So in the spirit of proactivity. What exactly do you all recommend I feed in NPK’S? The soil is depleted, last runoff was in the 700’s. Over a week ago. Do I go heavy on the Nitrogen? This is where is all start to get muddy for me on a sick stunted plant…..Normally I have thrown away the poor girl by now???

Is there a way to get some traction on this ticket? I will need to feed today and am unsure on how much I should give this thing? I think I am supposed to keep the ppm at 1000 but I am not sure because this plant is stunned and sick. Any advice ?

Was it Fox Farms trio nutes you have? I haven’t used FF nutes in a while so I’m not up to speed on em, but the rule of thumb is:
500 - 600 PPM clone/seedling
800 - 900 PPM Veg
1000 - 1100 Flower
So whatever you’re using, if you shoot for around the high seedling or the low veg numbers, you’d be doing em good. :victory_hand:

Well my FF rocked up, so there goes that, but I do have some General Hydroponics, flora, so I will have to use that. OK, so I am looking to get this in a range of 800-900pmm. If the last runoff off last feed was in the 700. Then do I just need to add 200ppm of the nutes to bring it up to 900?

No, I don’t believe so. I could be wrong, but I never gathered that with everything I’ve read. When I was using FF liquid nutes, I put in the full PPMs and never had a problem with that. :victory_hand:

I was doing a little reading and I may be incorrect on putting in the full PPMs. It’s been too long since I’ve used that type of nutes. @MidwestGuy can I get you to chime in on this?

FF coco loco Brother. I used the HF once and stay away from that and other FF mediums. Difficult to maintain PH :love_you_gesture:

@low @dbrn32 GH feed help

I’m not big on GH…

But typically.. Soil every other feed around 1000 ppms on 5 scale. Feed water feed water. Find balance in and out. If it exceeds input, increase run off or decrease feed to around 800. If she reacts well with 1000, you can stick with it until transition ends. (2 weeks or so after flip. At this point you can start tapering down..

However you won’t know til you know, see how she reacts and adjust according. Get the mistakes out during veg and dial it in.

What is your nutes of choice?

I like dry nutrients that dissolve in water. I use jacks it is a 3 part system, there is also mega crop that is 1 part. You will find a lot of support here on the forum for these 2 lines.

But there are several out there and it seems they all work pretty well and similarly.
