I would remove all of the beat up leaves. Maybe 1/3 of the amount at a time to avoid shocking the plant.
gotcha. I have a few at the bottom that are yellow. I’ve read some people trim most of the fan leaves and I’ve also read to not cut the fan leaves off because that’s where the plant stores energy so I did a pretty big trim after the first and third week of flower and have let them go since
Under the high intensity lights you just don’t need a huge canopy and it can cause airflow issues.
I just trimmed some and it was easier said than done Lol. Fingers are super sticky
And to prove how good the hlg 500 v2 is these buds were down under the canopy and they are really dense and look awesome
That’s one advantage of these diodes: you can run em right down on top of the canopy and get decent penetration below.
I trim everything from the soil to 6”-8” up after the plants have developed.
Anything yellowing comes off.
Some recessed fan leaves also come off. Just to improve airflow and light penetration.
