Rooster in the hen house?

Can someone help me out? I thought my girls were sexed, but I flipped 12/12 a few days ago and this one plant is very different looking suddenly. I think it might be male. Actually, I am pretty sure it’s male…but a more experienced growmie might have a better eye. While it is a little hairy, it’s also getting ball like things that the others aren’t producing. Whatcha think?

I have never grown a male myself, but I would say yes that is a male plant. I have never seen anything like that on a female. Have a pleasant weekend fellow cultivator. :call_me_hand::call_me_hand::deciduous_tree::fire::dash::drooling_face:

Thank you!!! I usually do feminized so I rarely worry. These were mostly unsexed and I learned a lot about how to sex them. This one looks like it fooled me.

@Lunabudz929 Do you have a grow thread or were you just seeking help?

I’ve posted about this grow in a few threads. I haven’t posted much unless I’m in need of advice…I tried to do a journal but I got a job and couldn’t keep up. This grow has been over the place with issues and learning experiences. I have a thread about needing friends, lol. I guess I’m always seeking opinions and help. Did I do something wrong?

@Lunabudz929 not at all. I watch a lot of threads always trying to up my game. I’m always looking for advice and suggestions and you never know where it’s going to come from. :call_me_hand::call_me_hand:

Cool, thanks! I appreciate it. I am an AVID learner…I’m always reading, watching, experimenting…lol. I am a bit obsessed rn, I’ve never grown indoors. Always outdoors with autos and inadequate light…so this is new to me to put into actual practice. The Mistakes have been real, lol. But they are beautiful now and I’ve dialed it all it to have a smooth transition into flower. I’m pulling this plant….

@Lunabudz929 so you’re growing photo periods indoor. I haven’t ever grown autos. I tried growing outdoor this past summer but failed miserably. This is my second indoor grow after quite a long hiatus. One thing about outdoor is sun sun sun from dawn til dusk. I love indoor cultivation though. I am laid off during the winter months so I can really give my plants my full attention. I believe cannabis is an extremely graceful plant. :call_me_hand:t2::call_me_hand:t2:

I do outdoor autos bc I have crappy light. Only 8hrs direct and autos don’t mind. here they are before I chopped them this summer…

I decided to do indoor bc I just love it growing. I grow a lot of things…I’m into plants, period. I have all kinds of plants, cannabis is such an amazing plant, I wanted to start utilizing the whole plant and getting into extracts and specialized terpenes for specific medical conditions. I’d like to utilize my knowledge in advanced practice nursing and concoct ,”prescriptions” and other psychedelic therapies to ppl seeking a path away from, or minimally utilizing, traditional pharmacology. Lol. I don’t want to be just a dreamer…/lol…but I’ll settle for the serenity plants bring me and the general educational factor I can provide to ppl, as I do, in life in general. But…. I love a challenge. Indoor growing is even more exciting! Tomorrow is day 4 of the 12/12 flip. Maybe I’ll see a bud tomorrow!!!

@Lunabudz929 Best of luck growmie!! Nice outdoor setup you have though. I’m in Connecticut and our late summer early fall is not conducive for outdoor cannabis growing. I know there are plenty of people whom do but it took way more attention and care than I thought it would. I’ll just keep my head in the tent and producing my medicine there. Some of those autos outside must have finished up nice for you. I hope you find two buds tomorrow. Best of luck I saw that post to lacewing 17 plant indoor grow that must be amazing :star_struck::star_struck::star_struck::100: there are tons of formulas on here for making your own edibles. I enjoy making hash myself. It is my favorite way to enjoy my labors. You obviously have a higher calling to want to help others I hope you get an abundance of medicine and are able to relieve the pain and misery for many people. :pray:t2::pray:t2:

Making hash is not hard at all. And it looks like you will have PLENTY of trim and larf to use!
If you do not have one already, I would highly recommend getting a TrimBin. You do your trimming in the bin, there is a screen in the bottom of the top section to catch the kief in the bottom of the lower bin. Best advice for that, line the bottom of the bin with parchment paper (not wax or aluminum foil, kief sticks to it too much and gets lost in the folds sometimes) and when you are done, lift out the parchment paper and pour out the kief. Then you can either store it loose as kief or heat it slightly to make hash/temple balls. Good luck!

Good morning @Lunabudz929 I have a post on my thread (920) where I explain how I make mine slow and low temp. I enjoy making it and especially partaking in my spoils. :call_me_hand::call_me_hand:

You use the the fans? Like all the trim? I messed around with the male I pulled and trimmed it and really took off the waste so in theory I would have a plant that I would like my others to look like. Lol. Point is that I removed the bottom third and the waste was a lot of would be useless buds…… is that what you save for hash or you save everything? Ive pruned a garbage pail full since the beginning. I let it go now bc I know they are transitioning.

Sorry…by trim I mean the sugar leaves and tiny buds. I usually remove the fan leaves and longer sections of stems between the nodes on the third or fourth day of drying, and then when I do the bud trim, there is less of that material to worry about. Male plants do have some THC, but I havent heard of growers harvesting it on this forum

Ahhhhhhhh, I’m finding more boys!!! Shitballs, man. So much for thinking I got really lucky. Lol. I have a few other questionable :face_with_raised_eyebrow: but my lights went out and I think that was my mic drop for this evening. Oh well. More room to flower.

I wish you could get a clearer picture of the plant in your hand 1hr ago. Females will show early calyx’s at the crotches of main branches. Just because there is growth on the side of that branch doesn’t mean a male necessarily.

These confused me on my first grow almost threw them out but went on to be beautiful females. :call_me_hand::call_me_hand:
