Reusing fabric pots

Does anyone reuse there fabric pots? If so what do you do to clean them before you plant in them again.

I reuse my fabric pots. At first I rinsed them with a hose before reusing but now I just knock out the old soil and use them without rinsing. I have had no issues so far.

They are cheap enough that I would not reuse them if it were a hassle or caused my plants to suffer.

Many people don’t reuse them at all.

Some vinegar will remove mineral salts from the bag.

If you choose wash them out good with a water hose then take them down to your local Laundry and throw them in on a short cycle. I have reused mine for years.

I figure if it wont wash off with a water wash then it wont come off in the new media.
I reuse them all the time as well.

It’s hard to get the mineral salt off with water hose.

I brush off the dirt and stuff from the inside and outside.

I then stick them insideout in a wash machine on gentle with no fabric softener, and gentle laundry soap with no perfumes , set to soak and extra rinse, then an extra rinse and spin setting. Works great

Same as a few mentioned. I let them dry, then brush them off with a scrub brush. Then in the ole lady’s washing machine they go. 2 cycles, no dry they come out great. If your just using the cheapo ones I wouldn’t bother

I just knock the old roots off, refill and go. I dont use salt nutes though. I plan on reusing this setup for a few rounds.

So i let them sit for days till the roots are dead and dry, i beat them out to remove as much as i can.
Then i soak them in water with baking soda and distilled white vinegar fir a few days, when i go back to the bucket that’s sitting outside, they come out smelling like vinegar but looking brand new. All the algae, salt build up and roots are gone. I give them a rinse to get rid of the vinegar smell and that’s it.

Theres quicker ways but takes more effort imho.

I reuse mine. Brush out any stuff I can. Stick them with peroxide in the soak cycle. Then wash on gentle cycle. Some are still going strong after I think now five grows?
