Cloth grow bags

Question, if you use fabric grow bags, do you reuse them? I start with 1 gal bags and transplant to 3 gal bags at about 3 weeks. I’ve found that cutting the 1 gallon bags leaves the root ball and surrounding soil intact, making for a more successful transfer. Would you wash and reuse the 3 gal bags or just buy new for every grow. I have 2 mentors, 1 reuses the other buys new every grow. You?

I bought a bunch of 3 gallons. I haven’t reused any, but when I get through all of them I’ll start reusing.

I hate transplanting from fabric pots so i start in 1 gallon plastics then transplant to 3 gallon fabric i re use my pots all the time i just empty the bags out after harvest allow them to dry for a few days flip them inside out and get out as much roots as possible then i run them through the wash machine 1x with detergent then do a whole second wash with no detergent to make sure its all washed out then just air dry

I wash them and reuse.

Its not necessary to transplant. Just plop the smaller fabric pot into a bigger one. Roots grow right through.

I wash my pots out good with water hose then to the washing machine on a short cycle. Reuse many times.

Im guessing ur growing photoperiod plants cause u wouldnt bother going through all that trouble for autos ,wouldnt be better to start ur plants off in a plastic one gallon so u dont have to cut anything and save ur bags and i would go from a one gallon plastic pot to a five or a seven gal fabric for final home. And also i wash my fabric pots good and i always reuse them

Wasteful

Reuse soil and fab pots.

I have a 30 gallon thats root bound. I dug a hole twice the size, put some good stuff in there and planted it. I cut 4 crosses in the bottom so the roots would shoot right through
