Second, yes, as support anytime you think they may need it. I’ll add aa toothpick or a dowel or whatever i have. I don’t like to tie the little plants to anything, so i place the support in a way that the plant can just lean against it.
Also, as soon as mine pop out of the ground i like to put on an oscillating fan. Set it on low and set it back so the plants just shake a little from the air movement. This causes them to build steering stalks. Rotate them each day or they will lean over. As they get bigger just bring the fan closer or turn up the speed.
I’ve grown photos and autos and have found that they are all very resilient. I grow autos for the ease and speed of building a stash. Photos just give more time for recovery of our mistakes.
As for the pots, as long as you have good drainage then you’re golden.
As for the soil… I started growing in coco choir and never looked back, until this current grow. I am currently running a Dutch bucket system using coco choir and RDWC. IT’S MY NEW WAY!
Ahh, well here at ILGM things arent like that. I been here helping new growers for almost 3 years. If you got any questions or anything feel free to tag me. Looks like you got some support on this one and some encouragement to keep growing. I urge you to carry on, the dispo weed is straight trash and you will never go back after you have your own buds. I work in cannabis and they dont grow for the same reasons we do.
Hi @DevanGuy56288 ! Sorry about your experience. DO stay! It’s a great place, and at times some growers are over-helpful, lol, but for sure that can be stressful.
I’m personally prone to overwhelm/info overload, so I was rarely on the forum when I first started out. I have a super simple setup, and gosh, I usually still hide my hygrometer in my plant’s pics just in case someone offers unsolicited advice. Honestly, any situations like that are rare on this forum. (And, I’ve learned that I can and do grow fine plants in a dry climate without a tent - just one personal example, not that I’ve actually been razzed about it by anyone.)
@Bamarayne
Yeah I put some training stakes besides the two so they can lean up against.
Going to put in the fan today, was just waiting a little bit longer to strengthen them up but now I know the wind wiggle helps them get stronger.
I’m rotating the fabrics every day as far as the others like every other day but will rotate with the others everyday.
Thank you for your wisdom/ advice.
@Docnraq
I was so excited about growing cannabis and just eating sleeping thinking about growing cannabis. I applied at a commercial grow…. Thinking I’d learn things…. Come to find out i have to pay $300+ dollars to just get a card to work in the facilities ! Hahahahahaha I never went to the interview lol.
Those plants are good to go bro. I would only move the one that has 2 plants in it, one plant per pot or they will fight for nutes. Don’t give up brother, you got this👊.
Well get excited again cause thats what this place is all about. Its all I do.
Yup 400 for me. I get paid ok, get to work with weed, and I get an oz a month just for showing up to work ontime. They take it outta my check 20 bucks a week and its good for 2 years.
@SlayinAsquirter
Yeah I was hoping to let them ride it out and see how it goes. The two in on pot that is. But I’m most likely going to pull one . I’m not to worried about them. I got them out of a half oz of flower I got from a despo and I just wanted to see if they’d pop, well here we are now. Lol.
I’m wanting to just stay automatic and I’m sure they are photoperiods so I don’t know what I will do with hers…… if I keep one going and she sticks with use for a while I’ll flip her after I harvest the autos. Idk
@Docnraq
See I figured I could set something up like that where they take a lil out of my check for a while until the balance is paid off but they said no hahahaha. I’m in Az.
my best advice for all of this is, go slow and take notes. plants live outside without the help of humans, and have done so for like a billion years or something. even just bringing it inside and putting it near a window is giving it 10000% higher chances of survival than the wild. get a grow light and it’s chances are another 10000%. And that just goes on and on; nutrients, microbes, soils, uv light, etc.
if you go slow, it’s honestly hard to kill a plant. they have a billion years of trying to survive under their belt.
note: if you are a patient that needs medicine, learning to grow can be a very stressful endevour. i’d always advise planning, and prioritizing, to continue purchasing your medicine while you learn (at least a few grows).
@Mr_Wormwood
I got some Slurricane and honestly it’s pretty good really flavorful bag appeal smell just all around good. Surprisingly. Been a long time since getting a good bag from despo.
Check out the girls this morning ya’ll. 12 days old today. Fed them a little bit of Fish Sh!tt and SimPro Veg formula. Not full dose for this stage just a little taste….
Almost forgot nutes I’ll be using are all natural. SimPro Microbes, veg and bloom formula. I have a bag of roots organic Terp yea bloom that I want to try out for top dressing but have committed to that idea yet. Hop everyone has a great day.
Happy growing!
@Mr_Wormwood
Right I noticed when I started posting the new grow and someone asked about my lighting. I’m sitting over here adding up the watts and oh shitt…. 420……
Totally organic and unintended. Hahahaha
