First grow, as most of you have seen me around. Growing in soil. FFOF.
I understand phosphorus is needed during flowering, is it harmful to put it in before flowering? Vegetative phase? What are the side effects? Is it possible to add phosphorus early on so it’s ready when the plant needs it?
Thanks everyone in advance and really appreciate everyone here. Seriously, best forum I’ve ever found.
What tipe of nutrients you are using…
It was a general question. But I’ll be using fox Farms line, and RAW NPK brand. RAW does offer straight phosphorus for purchase. I imagine it’s oriented more towards hydro, but it works in soil too.

If you are using the ff nutrients you need to download the feeding schedule and try to respect that.
Good advice @M4ur… Also if you using the ff nutes, you may be adding more phosphorus for plant if your adding in the raw product… Don’t over do it @Covertgrower… Don’t want to give more NPK than plant can handle or absorb
@Covertgrower most nutrient lines have phosphorus in there Veg nutes as it is also needed during the vegetative state as well just not in as big of quantity as is required in flowering.
I usualy keep giving my plants Veg nutes until the stretch period is over (usualy around 2 weeks into flowering) and then I’ll switch to the fowering nutes which contain more phosphorus and potassium.
I wouldn’t give it extra phosphorus in Veg unless You have a deficiency.
