Yeah I live in zone 6 and I had to cut milk jug tops off and cover my girls. They seemed to have survived tg.

I always grow indoor, but this year i wanted to try an outdoor experiment. I’m glad i havent attempted it yet

In all the years I lived in the southern tier of ny.I never put any plants out before memorial weekend.I get wanting to have an early start.But imo plants will just stagnate and do nothing until the soil temperature is right…Black plastic helps speed up soil temperatures.I used it a lot with hot peppers.
