Your most important purchase is your light. I would suggest either Horticulture Lighting Group or AC Infinity. A HLG350R will def grow 2 plants. Look at either AC Infinity or Gorilla for your tent. What medium are you wanting to use? Fabric pots are cheap. Soil ranges from 25 to 55 a bag, TDS and PPM are another tool youl need. If growing in soil, then you can get a cheap set since you wont use them much…
I use Coast of Maine Stonington blend and their veg and flower amendments.

I use Happy Frog. Been using it for over 5 years and I like it. Also use Jack’s 321 as my fertilizer. Light, soil, and water are 3 key ingredients!
Depending on grow style your equipment costs can be minimal. Great light first. Can cheap on fans and tent for now. Upgrade as needed. Where does your lung room sit temp wise? Will affect the tent totally. Easier for me to regulate room to regulate tent. I am organic myself and very basic. Great lights. Humidity/temp monitor. Analog walmart timer. Exhaust fan. Interior fan for airflow. @Roadsideorganics.ok nutes. I have controllers and gear on shelf i never use from liquid nute days. Organic with healthy soil is pretty easy. Fewer issues for me auto or photo. @MeEasy thread has a ton of info for a super simple grow.
Amazon has a lot of good choices for growtent kits I recommend spider farmer they have a lot of good options in you’re budget range I bought a 27×27×63 from them I’ve been very happy with

Welcome to the forum. On top of what others mentioned above, I wanna piggy back off @ChittyChittyBangin you can find a ppm/tds meter on amazon that also does ph for your water.

Just wanna throw out there, a new member on here recently got an ACIEvo3 for just over $300 @280watt. I personally think the Evo’s are slept on and that’s a good price too.
I second the Spider Farmer stuff… especially the G or S series bar lights if you can swing $300-400 for one. Best damn investment I’ve made on grow equipment

I went with the VIVOSUN 3x3 basic kit Not the automated smart kit.
They come with everything you need except dirt and a seed. You can go a bigger size up for 2 plants.
I also sprung for the Apera combo pen (PH and PPM)
