So I finally decided to get an indoor set. And now I am trying to list all staff I need for successful growth. But I got confused since I spent a couple of weeks reading diff articles and watching videos about what equipment to choose. Maybe some of you guys can help me to choose? What I have on a list:
Lamp
Tent
Seeds
Pots
Medium
Time switch
Active air exhaustion
Inkbird temp controller
Carbon filter
Rotating fan
Controller with thermostat
Thermometer
Hygrometer
EC meter
Air intake
Did I miss something? Do I need all of it? I’m pretty short on money and planning to spend no more than 800$. Do you think it is possible? May be somebody can share his list with equipment and devices? There are soooooo many brands and models, so I need help…
Sorry if I just duplicated somebody else post. Just give me a link and delete mine =)
Ok, this lamp looks fantastic, thank you! What the best place to get one? And what about rest equipment? Like what are the most essential for a decent start?
I would probably order directly from horticulture lighting group. If you do a web search you can probably come up with coupon code for at least 10% off there too.
Exhaust fan I would do ac infinity s6 or t6, their carbon filter seems decent too for the price. Rest of the stuff is probably all over the place. Imo you don’t need ink bird controller unless trying to grow in extreme climate. Probably won’t need intake fan either, just run passive intake with s shaped duct in bottom port. Ec/tds tester i wouldn’t spend a lot of money on, but I would get a decent ph tester, and calibration and storage solution.
Dont forget your nutrients
You won’t need a thermostat and controller… if you get an ac eventually …it will have a thermostat and controller built in you set it and forget it …no inkbird needed for it and humidifier dehumidifier all a lil extreme if your climate is not extreme
These guys here will help you. I’m thinking of a 4x2. I just don’t know how to grow small plants. I do like the HLG light. I wouldn’t try and go to cheap. I use a lot of organic supplements. I’m sorry to say I don’t use a ph meter. I’ve used them in the past. I haven’t really found one that I like right now. I just go by the way they look and how they feel. I defiantly wouldn’t go cheap on your air ventilation. Try and keep it simple. I get carried away. If I don’t have 40 plants going at one time I feel like I’m not doing enough. I don’t have room for 40 plants. Good seeds. They sell them here.
The reason I don’t have a pH meter right now is because the grow store in my town wants $80 for the ones that they sell for $10 online. I will not order anything off Amazon at all. The closest grow store from my house is over 100 miles one way the last one I had broke I have just not gotten another one. That is foolish that I have not done that I just forget about writing everything down when I go. The soil is very important for indoor growing. Outside you can almost just put your water hose on them. I’m probably sure is better than that acid rain
