I think they still look healthy since last watering on the 22nd. Opinions? 64%soil moisture.
I would wait just a bit longer before watering. You will have to get a feel for what the meter says when they need water. Just a couple of watering cycles should tell you exactly what you need to know.
Your plants are looking great! ![]()
Thank you. I will wait. Since they are healthy and nOt showing signs of stress or dehydration I will let them talk to me. Appreciate the help I really do.
To give you a bit of perspective:
During seedling stage I only need to water one time at about 8 - 10 days old.
During early veg they get water every several days, up to a week. As they grow big during veg the time between watering sessions gets shorter until close to flipping at about 60 days old when they get water every day.
Daily watering continues thru flower until the last week or so when they use less water.
I should add that I grow in 10 gallon fabric for photo period plants and 7 gallon fabric for autos.
When would you suggest its best to use?
Every grower must find their style.
I have trellis nets.
Don’t like to grow with them.
Don’t know how to grow my style with the net as a tool.
Didn’t have one in the 70’s or 80’s.
I move my plants, too much.
I can tie/support stalks as necessary.
Before tie up, top picture above.
After Tie, pictured below.
Winds will get this area and height issues, reduced.
My 4x4 tent (way above) got two more residents today.
A - six and twelve incher.
Nice. I removed the trellis for now. You are right, every grower has his/her own style. Right now I am experimenting as its my first grow so I try to incorporate some of the fellow growers tips into my first grow for example someone told me not to be afraid to be a little aggressive with the plant and I felt comfortable changing the ties on her for LST. Im kind of finding my grove and exploring with the tips I get. You guys have definitely made this process a hell of a lot easier for me. Here is the Wedding cake at 30 days old The royal dwarf at 25 days old and on day 4 of LST. How do the girls looklook?
Right now im growing in a 3 gallon fabric pot
Hello fellow growers I have a question about maybe taking out the bottom fan leaves and a couple other that may be in the way and possibly get in the way of the royal dwarf that is next to the wedding cake. They are both 5 days apart 25 & 30. Here are a couple of pics that you guys can take a look at and guide me in the right direction.
Smoke a bowl, look at plant and do what comes to mind.
What shap are you going for?
Removing fan leaves is good and bad.
Less solar power, longer growth time, or better buds?
Trim five fan leaves and review your shaping efforts.
The plant looks in flower, so trim fan leaves will cost double.
She may not be happy.
I trimmed this lady (trice) and messed lightings (once).
I got 17 nanners to pick off, two weeks later

Im looking for a bushy plant better buds. The airflow is no problem. As far as shape like a bush of some sort. I know it being an autoflower I dont have much time to play with it and its at day 30 but also dont want it to intervene with the other plant. I have a 2x2x4 spider farmer sf1000evo but everything is getting light so far.
That sounds good. I will let her rock for a bit and she how she does. I can always throw the trellis back on
Hello growers. Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend. As I was adjusting some ties on my 31 day old auto I Accidentally ripped a piece of the bottom fan leaf. Take a look at these 2 fan leaves and id like some feedback if I should remove them or just leave them there. They are at the bottom so the very first leaves.
LOL I never worry about a bit of damage to a few leaves. Your plants are doing well. If you really feel like you need to, there is no harm in removing them. I would just leave them be, myself.
Thanks for the advice. I feel better knowing its no big deal at all. Im entering the 5th week and they are flowering and dont want to pay the price if I were to snip a couple. Starting to see little amber/red hairs at the bud sites. Wondering when the plant will stop growing vertically and begin its focus on the buds. Feel like around week 6/7. Going to look at what I can add to the supersoil im using to give me healthy buds.
It is difficult to say. The “stretch” usually lasts two or three weeks for me…that time starts about a week or ten days after they start flowering.
By the way, snipping off leaves is more stressful (not very stressful though) than having a few damaged leaves. Any leaf that is not performing its job (supplying the plant with needed nutrients via photosynthesis) will yellow and fall off on its own.
You definitely have been a part of this grow! Ill just let them fall off. I think I may have to put the trellis net up again soon since more new sites are growing uptop.
I get fairly aggressive with LST but other than that I just leave them alone. I water when needed, top dress with dry nutrients weekly…that is about it.
I don’t have anything growing at this time but here is a link to my grow journal:
I will start a new one when I start my next grow because my current journal because I am getting close to the 10K reply limit. The current journal goes all the way back to my very early grows in 2018.
