Welp here it goes ,i thinking im making more out of this than it has to be but…i have the SpiderFarmer 3x3 with the g3000 ,i think i have read too much and i got myself confused . Can someone correct me please ! I hang my light around 24 inches above the canopy (top of plant) for seedlings , for veg and for flower . The dim setting has me jacked where do i start ? I dont have a light meter and seeds are already in the soil. Im using foxfarm happy frog with a scoop of ocean forest at the bottom then mixed in with happy frog. Im using the 5 gallon fabric grow bags . I sprout the seeds put them in the dirt 2 days ago the 1st day they were outside since it didnt have the light set up and today was the 2nd day of being outside they are now inside . I just need the correct setting at 24 inches above the canopy to set the dimmer to?

Here is the par map for your light.
It shows the big ol hot spot in the middle. It shows you by reading the legend the hight above the plant and the distance from center.
You can reduce the energy level readings by 50% and still be accurate but splitting the distance does not work that way.
As an offhand guess I think you would be around 350 PPFD at 24 inches at 50%>
Now look up expected cannabis power level. O wait. They helpfully put that on the map.

thing worked out …Marty !!! So for ¹seedlings i can be 2 to 4 inches from the soil and when they ² pop bring it up to around 18 inches or so and maintain that distance throughout the entire grow. ³Starting out at around 40 to 50% dimming and increase the dimming to read around 800 to 1000 on the flux capacitor reading (ppfd reading)
To make it simple, run full power with the light 24 inches away at first, and move light up as they grow toward it, keeping at about 16 inches as that will let the light diffuse somewhat to help even out coverage. That light won’t heat burn them like a HPS type, led runs much cooler, but can light bleach tops if too close. The Photon app is free on your phone and will help you dial it in.
