Light height for seedling stage using 2 hlg 260s

Right now I have my lights at 18 inches and have been running for 24 hours. I planted yesterday and 5 of the autos are in 5 gallon grow bags and the gold leaf is in 2 solo cups. The gold leaf is staying in the tent and the white widow are going outside.

Sounds about right height. You can always go 18/6 or 14/10 to save a little on lighting costs.

if cost is not a problem would more light be a better thing?

Also I have them all the turned up with the installed dimmer. I did not adjust them under the driver. Is that the full power this light can put out?

I run mine all the way down (50%) at 30" for seedlings and go to 50% at 24" and stay there until late flower and go-to 60-70% at 24". As far as the brightness how you see the light and how the plants see it.

Im really new, how do I figure out the percent?

All the way counter clockwise is 50%. What I did was turn it all the way CC. Mark the screwdriver with a sharpie and the driver at 12 o clock. Then turn it all the way clockwise that’s 100% and put a mark on the driver that lines up with the mark on the screwdriver. That gives you low and high. I then put marks where they’d be roughly every 10%

Makes alot of sense thanks. So it looks like I should check under the driver to see if I have it turned all the way up.

For seedlings you want them dimmed. You could run just one fixture right now.

I light seedlings at about 32"

If you have the driver that come with the external dial pot. I would turn the internal pot to 100% and use the external dial pot to adjust . That seems to be the driver they’re sending out now. If your internal pot is on the bottom of the driver. You should have the external dial pot.
