New to ilgm, first grow advice?

Edited due to relevance…

PIt looks the leaves on the clone might are healthier than the big plant. I guess the difference is the clone soil has more nutrients still in it so it has more food?

The clones five blade leaf is larger than the big plants leaves that have more blades…

The deficiency hasn’t been corrected yet(I don’t think) I’d say it’s spreading, but I don’t want to give it more because there’s nute burn on the tips…and I still don’t have high PK nutes yet. It’s really bugging me.

Photo today in the sun…def burn on tips. Lockout maybe?

@Legalinmaine

What kind and size of pots are you using? Are you maybe not watering enough that the roots are seeking the shallow watering? I’ve seen root bound plants that never showed roots coming out of the soil like that. Unless thats some sort of zombie plant, lol

It’s a 7 gal! Fabric pot. I don’t water it too often because it takes a long time for it to dry out. Which could be one of the reasons I have a problem. It takes too long to correct a problem because of the amount of soil. Sound right?

7 gallon is a pretty good size pot. Whats the soil? If you already posted all this above my apologies. long day today.

Soil in pots, Hydroponic, or Coco?
Soil, ffof/happy frog to start(1 gal), then transplanted to 2 gallon with MG organic(mistake, had problems) so transplanted again to 3 gallon smart pot with promix bx, and one more time to a 7 gal fabric pot with bx.
With great white myco

FFOF I’m somewhat familiar with but the Promix bx and myco I’m not. I think based on the size of those plants you should be giving them quite a bit of water. But I’m no expert.

Maybe @garrigan62 or @Majiktoker or both can help you out they are grow mentors and they can help you with how much water to give them. You are right, they should dry out in between and I’m wondering if you need to be moving more air around the pots?

At her size you could easily give half a gallon it would just take longer to dry out

It’s just great white mycorrhizae. And the promix also has some in it.
I think you’re right, I added another fan two days ago because it seems to stay wet for a long time. I did give it a partial flush with more 6.5ph water two days ago(then added the fan). Thinking maybe all the high N nutrients have locked out others. So last weekend flushed, and this past weekend. But I added strong earth juice catalyst (low N) to the second flush. Now I have to let it dry out probably ten days or so as it’s so wet now. So I can’t really do anything but foliage sprays to help the problem…not that I know exactly what it is yet.

If those roots start coming out of the top of the pot they will stop when they hit enough air. I think the term is Air Prune. I think it is a fairly common occurrence with roots coming out the sides of cloth pots, which I also use. I think your making all the right moves. Most of the guys let the soil dry till its still dry and inch down or to the first knuckle and then they water very slowly until they just start to get runoff and then they stop and let it go again until it is dry again.

The fan around the underside is a good thing!

I feel better, she seems to be coming out of it. Lots of new growth over the past few days. Some leaves showed some a little more discoloration but not too many. I should be getting some good nutrients tomorrow or this weekend so hopefully end of next week I can flower. I am getting concerned with the size… it’s almost as wide as the 4’x4’ tent. The canopy is about 15"-18" deep, any pointers on what I can trim before flower? How long into flower can I trim? How thick do you think I can keep that canopy so the light reaches the critical parts? I’m pretty excited lol!
This is what I’m really worried about: I don’t have a carbon filter… the tent is in its own room. How bad can it be? No neighbors but I think my wife is going to hate me in a month or so.

I would recommend that you get a vent system. They aren’t that much money and it will keep your whole house from stinking. I bought one for mine and I’m only growing one plant. she’s still small and I’m only using it for circulation without the carbon filter attached but they are short $$ on Amazon. When I start getting some smell, I will hook up the filter

as far as trimming her up, thats out of my expertise.

Yeah I’m in Mass too…and I am going to keep my grow inside for the simple reason that if someone finds out your growing they may steal your stuff.

Your going to stink out your whole house my man lol
I have a carbon filter in my tent with exhaust fan
I also have a exhaust fan in my grow room when I open tent my wife smells it in the front yard
My set up is in basement and towards back of the house
Just saying you can get an entire exhaust set up on Amazon for 125$
Good luck brother

@Countryboyjvd1971 First of all, I am a woman…lol Second, I am only growing 2 plants at a time. Third, I can’t afford exhaust system and no where to exhaust to! lol But my plants are one month old now and I am in the process of posting pictures of them at this stage.
