New Gummy Maker Here. So Many Questions

Hi all, back with more questions.
I made my first gummies from tincture. Several “issues” came up:
Used the MagicalButter machine. 14g White Widow to 2 cups Everclear.

Recipe calls for 1 cup reduced (7g Cannabis).

So I reduced my tincture to FECO, supposedly.
But I have no idea when it is FECO? It reduced to almost nothing, and black flecks abounded.

Then, when I mixed it with the MagicalButter gummy mix (for newbie simplicity), there were black flecks in the gummies.
I tried to mix thouroughly, but we’re not running a factory kitchen over here.

So, I don’t even know what I want to ask? I guess…,
How do I know when my FECO is reduced adequately?
How do I get FECO into a syringe or other device?
Is it always going to have black flecks?
How do you ensure consistency of product?

Side note: I’m also reducing another tincture to make FECO, using a gradual warming and evaporation method. It, too, is forming black flecks.

Did you filter your tincture? Are you using 190 proof?

I filtered it through a coffee filter after infusion. 151 proof is all that’s legal here.
Ran MagicalButter @ 130 degrees for 8 hours.

(I don’t mean to sound like a MagicalButter Salesman  )
