I did a runoff today and the numbers for the runoff was 980 on the 500 scale. Can someone translate those numbers for me? I am getting more yellow tips on some leaves.

The pH for the runoff was 6.6
That looks good. Converted to EC would put you around 1.9-2000 and in a good range. A chemical analysis would be needed for an accurate TDS reading so most test devices convert that to electrical conductivity (EC) and the preferred horticulture method. That was a just scratching the surface answer
The meter I have will do EC. I’ll use that nest time.

That’s ok to use. Your EC will be twice your PPMs for reference, that’s on the 500 scale
Week 7 and day 17 of flower. I have been trimming a
lot of leaves and small buds off of the lower part of the plant.
I will do the top dressing tomorrow with the 444 and water at 5.9 pH. Maybe 5 weeks left?

The plant is 30 inches tall (76 cm) with a ton of buds on it. Just passed 3 weeks of flower. I water every 3 days with a gallon of plain water. Lots of pixels but very small and hard to see with the jewelers glass. I will check the run off readings tomorrow. All is good for now.
Day 61 and 26 days into flower. I know the leaves will turn yellow as the plant produces flower. I did the 284 and worm castings 10 days ago. It has been green and the colas are really taking off. Two days ago I noticed the leaves really turning yellow. My runoffs yesterday was 2080 of the 500 ppg scale. I also put one tablespoon of unsulfered molasses to a gallon of water after I did the runoff. I added only a half a gallon yesterday… Pictures of the leaves are attached.
The ones on the lower part of the plant are no big deal pull them off. Your older plants is just using them to push. You see anything on the uppers then that’s something to look into

@BigItch can you let me know the problem with these leaves. Brown tips and yellow in the leaf. I watered with unsulfered molassas 2 days ago. Not sure if this caused the yellowing. I downloaded a chart and Magnesium and Mangeese might be the problem. My last runoffs was 2.1ec. Using Ph 5.8 water.
I believe your in soil ??? If I’m correct your locking out due to low pH , check the chart. A pH of 5.8 in soil will lockout a few things.
I am in soil and I have lowered the Ph to between 5.2 and 5.8. I have to water again tomorrow and I’ll use the chart you sent to get back into the correct numbers.

Yes and I’ve done it trying to get bigger and denser buds. Locked out some nutrient uptake by over feeding those 2

I added water today with the following numbers on runoff:
6.8 pH in
6.3 ph out
3.2 ec
I think it’s back to normal. the leaves are more green
