Need advice from the pros

Ive got this plant that has gotten away from me. Im limited to what space I have. Ive been using it for clones but can only do so much with them in my area. Everyone loves to smoke but are scared to grow. Anyway, this plant is close to 6 feet tall and is still in veg.
What would yall do with it? Its too damn big for the tents I have.

You are going to have a real problem on your hands, as many plants will double in size during the first few weeks of flowering. Are these photos? At 6’ tall, I expect that they are. Suggest flipping your plants earlier and accounting for the flowering stretch. Can you put them outdoors?

If you intend to keep the plant/plants inside you’re going to have to a: increase height of tent (if possible), or perform HST (High Stress Training) by bending the tops over and tying them down. Plant yo-yo’s might be the trick.

It is a photo, i was mainly gonna keep it as a mother plant but its gotten away from me and its such a nice strong plant. Clones from it will root in 6 to 8 days. Outdoors would be an option.

If you intend to flower the plant your best option will be to put it outside.

Either bend branches to completely horizontal and immediately flip, and heavy defol, or throw her outside. Dang that’s a lot of plant!

Just cut down to lower nodes and let new tops get established.

This plant has been 3+ feet more than once

So have these

Mothers, 1 gallon coco.

Or start a few new clones and keep the best as a new mother. My mother plant is a 3rd generation. Still grows fine.

Outdoors is definitely an option, but at 6’ now you will need a fairly large area because it will become a beast. As @Low suggests is a very good option as well. I have done that myself. All advice is good just need to do what works for you.

Was just about to say the same @Spiney_norman.

I don’t think a home grower could exhaust a good plant like that, but i believe there are examples of clones of clones of clones of clones (u get my point) in large scale operations that appear to inherit the epigenetic stress of all that cloning and potentially other issues from repeated cycling of the single plant. Sometimes they seem to lose their vigor over time…including potency and yield. I wonder how many times you’d have to do that before seeing some of those potential negative effects?

I’d take a couple nice clones to start a new mom or two…then flower her outside…in a farmers field…you may need one by the time shes done lolol!

Thanks for all the responses guys. My only hurdle to transplanting it would be its in a 5 gallon bucket SIPS style. The whole bottom water chamber is full of roots. Here’s a picture looking down into water chamber.

If i tranplant it do you think it will kill the plant to remove such a root mass?

Here’s a pic of the setup on another plant I have in flower at the moment.

Heres a pic of how it looks in the bucket.

Is the medium filled with roots also? I’d imagine it would be ok to clip the roots if you wanted to go that route, that’s assuming most of the root mass is in the medium. Will stunt for a bit but would eventually come around. I’ve removed up to 50% of root mass before with success with a defoliation to take strain off the remaining roots. But there is only one way to know for sure. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I’d def take clones if you attempted that.

Thanks @Low The promix HP is full of roots also. This is a learning lesson for sure. Ive got a bad hip and its hard to do exactly what I need too so times. My wife hates it because I dont want to stop. I dont smoke at all but love to grow the $hit. I guess it’s an addiction. LOL

I can relate. I definitely don’t smoke like I used to, but I thoroughly enjoy the process. :call_me_hand:t3:

We are gonna need a bigger tent.

@Low

Hahaha :joy: love it

I figured it was a damn diaster and was taking up room. So I did this. I did get roughly 20 clones off it. Lesson learned i guess. Wish some of you lived closer, it was full of a lot of nice clones.

I wish the same. :call_me_hand:t3:
