LST for Autoflower?

Hi Growmies,

I’ve a question about LST. This Royal Haze Auto has been in veg for about three weeks, if by “veg” is meant date the first set of non-cotyledon leaves emerged? Anyway, it’s 25 days since germination…

I’d like to try some LST on her. I bought a trellis net for this purpose, because during my last grow, a Wedding Cake auto almost busted my small tent… but this plant looks too small and squat for that at present. Should I just wait?

Rather, I am thinking of abandoning the trellis net idea and just tying the main stalk–about 1.5 inches from the base–to one eyelet of the grow bag and bending the top–from below the 5th node–down towards the other side.

Does that sound right? Wrong? Any and all advice or comments gratefully received.

Thank you!

That is what I would do. Good luck!

I would remove these top two fan leaves to allow more light to the colas underneath them. Do that and open her up to allow more light to the actual bud sites and she’ll take off

Thanks @bboyfromwayback! Will give it a go!

Sure thing! I can tell there’s some long colas under there that just need some light👍🏻

Here’s the link to my journal. The very first pics are of the last auto I grew right after removing them top two fan leaves so you can see it in action :joy:

Thanks for sharing that, @bboyfromwayback!

Sure thing, here to help! I don’t cut much on autos but removing them top leaves once they get 5-6 nodes really seems to help
