Looks as if we’ll have weather today. Low to the mid uppers. I want to start hardening off some vegetables outside today if I can manage getting out of bed and turning off the TV. (I just picked up 200 more channels so we’ll see how that works out)
Couple of my ducky friends stop by to shit all over the parking lot this morning. These two particular ducks are incredibly strange.
Friday it’s pouring down rain. At the end of the road there’s a huge stagnant puddle of water these two ducks are lounging in the puddle like it was white sand on the beach.
Amen brother. Food security is real these days. And there is no better feeling than feefing you and yours from the land you live on. Has SO many benefits. I will be watching growmie, would love to learn some new skills in my garden.
I take alot of joy in helping others learn to garden and grow food.
It took us only 2 generations to grow complacent and rely on grocery stores and fast food to keep us fed and i think thats absurd. There was a time when if you didnt have a garden and some animals you didnt eat.
…and our system is volatile to say the least. 7 days of hunger is what separates us from Anarchy.
Wow, I’m not that old. The government fed us well. Unmeltable block cheese, orange peanut butter (with a puddle of oil on top) , powdered eggs, and powdered milk.
They also gave you a block of Wax that your mom put up your ass along with her finger and held your butt cheeks together for 5 minutes once a week to help you poop.
Anyway, I envy your motivation, purpose, and the overall effort and hard work you put in to taking care of you and yours with your tremendous living off the land strategies. (All I want is some fuk’in tomatoes and watermelon)
From your parents cattle farm and your massive garden and farming skills you’ve been able to do what many only dream of doing. Keep up the good work
It was a gorgeous day outside. Not very much constructive on the garden work as I’m all called up. I did pick up branches and turn them into little sticks and filled up two 5 gallon buckets that I’ll put in the bottom of my grow bags for the tomatoes so they can drain properly
It’s a beautiful windy 63° day here. Tried hardening off some of the vegetables but the wind is too violent. So just breathing in the fresh air on the front porch watching people’s dogs in other people’s yards will be my highlight of today.
That has been a highlight for me as well. At night, after they pass out from drinking single malt scotch, I walk my dog to allow him to in the lawns of known Trumpsters.
This duck is absolutely crazy. It swims in dirty mud puddles of stagnant water. It walks the streets all hours of the night. I just come home finding it chilling on the roof not a care in the world
