So i just wanted to make sure this setup was okay even if the fan is blowong direct air on the plants it is a very gentle breeze that hasnt seemed to affect them negatively for the past week. Also is there a difference between air bouncing off tent walls and direct air? Thank you so much
A gentle beeze is fine at this stage. Just keep an eye on your moisture and humidity and temps. Oscillating would be preferred and not a direct breeze. You want them to sway to help build roots and stability.
Thank you ill look into getting one
As mentioned by ChittyChitty, have the fan oscillating so the air moves all over the place and this makes for stronger stems and roots.
When plants get blown by the wind they produce spicules (tiny fibers) in the stems and branches. The spicules increase the strength of the branch and the more movement the plant gets, the more spicules it produces. You don’t want the plant being blown over but a gentle breeze blowing from different angles will encourage strong branches and reduce mold and fungal issues.
Air bouncing off the sides of a tent is not as strong as air blowing directly over a plant. I like a fan set on low blowing directly on a plant. However, avoid the fan blowing directly on flowers, aim it lower than the flowers.
