Second go with these great seeds. Had a great first grow, yielding 4oz after 10 weeks
Changing a few things this time. Details:
3x3 tent
5g fabric. Mostly FFOF with a FFHF solo cup sized plug. I’ve found this allows the seedling to mature enough before breaking into the hotter ocean forest
changing nutes this time. Ran FF at 50% and ran into some N issues. First too much, then too little. Going with general hydro 3 pack but won’t start feeding until week 3 or 4, earliest
2 x Bloom Plus “1500 watt” which draw 310w from the wall combined
running 24 on right now to keep heat up. Might switch back to 18/6 further along but she’s really growing now
Off to a good start! Yea FF tends to leave people hunting sometimes to get it right. Hope the GH works out a bit better! The schedules had my head spinning but pick on and rock with it. Learn as you and your lady grows and youll be fine. May the ganja goddess ever be in your favor haha
Day 19. Lighting has been on 20/4 Since 2/8 (day 14)
Topped yesterday, day 18, at the 4th node. Nicely recovered already and the shoots are popping out through the lower giant fans. Started some mild lst on the biggest fan leaves and will create more as the next week passes.
No feeding yet, the roots are well into FFOF at this point so I’ll wait at least 2 more weeks before a 25% dose of GH Gro//Micro/Bloom. I have been adding 2ml of calmagic to every other watering (.5 gallon every 3 days)
Some really good LST now. Clipped off some giant fans that were blocking the inner nodes and turning a bit yellow.
Also put down the first feeding at 25% strength to see how she reacts. Little clawing happening and a couple leaves with some tip burn so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.
Also brought the lights back down as we roll into flower, right about 12” off the canopy.
Haven’t updated in a bit. Slowly trimming some lower fans off and I’ve bumped the nutes to the full “light feeding” for mid flower per the GH feed chart. Also upped to 5ml calmag twice per week
53! 20 or so days to go. She might finish a little early since I ran 24/0 for a few weeks in veg. I have some clouding but mostly clear trichs
She might also be a little stunted, a week ago I discovered one of the main branches fractured at the knuckle. I tied it up and that buds ok but I’m wondering high stress slowed down production
They still look good and continue to fatten. I’m going to wind down the grow nutes and stick with flora-micro and flora-bloom until flush. She’s got a tiny bit of burn and some nice blue fade starting to happen
She’s smelling good, not super strong though. That’s in line with what the previous grow did as well. Once they cure up I found they have a really great fruity smell
