FFHF
FF growbig/tigerbloom/bigbloom
Humidifier/ distilled water
6” inline charcoal
Clip on circulation fan

Thoughts suggestions? Girls are 5 weeks out of the soil. 6.5 on the ph. Just started measuring today. First feed on big bloom. Rotating feed every third watering or so see how they react. 50% humidity 80*f. Should I run the humidifier at night? Lights 15 inches from top of plant. Dimmed to 75%

Welcome to the forum.

Yes. You are going to need more than the light you have to flower all those plants. You can probably flower them in that space if the tent is given ~640 watts of quality lighting (lights built with Samsung LM301 diodes) to properly flower them. Your light has good diodes, but is severely underpowered for 5 plants. Cannabis is extremely light hungry. The only plants that need as much light as cannabis are palm trees, olive trees, and some varieties of cacti.

You shouldn’t feed for ~4 weeks from the last transplant you make. FFHF has plenty of nutrients in it for the first several weeks.

Be careful of overwatering at this stage. All plants that size need are a few ml of water per day. More than that risks root rot. Increase your waterings as the plants grow in size, but never water more than that plants are capable of drying the pot out in 2 to 3 days. Cannabis needs wet/dry cycles for good root health. Water, then let the soil dry out before watering again.

The two of the larger plants are 2 weeks older than the rest. I forgot to mention that. But I’m going to turn them 12/12 all at the same time. I know blue dream is a taller plant. Suggestions on when to transplant into the 5 gallon grow bags. Ffhf70% perlite 30%
I won’t be doing anymore feeding until that 4 weeks after transplant. Thanks for that advice.anyone have any recommendations for a full light setup to handle these girls when it’s time to flower? I suppose I better start putting in some overtime at work for a good light canopy for flowering.

Welcome aboard! Great community here.

Some great suggestions from @MidwestGuy

Those plants look small to be feeding already, your soil should have everything they need until they get bigger. Let the soil dry up so the roots can get that much needed oxygen.

I think the general rule of thumb is when the leaves reach the outside of the cup or about the third node of growth. Keeping them in the cup too long and they will become root bound.
Also when you transplant, if you put some mycos on the roots and in the hole first, this will be of great benefit all around.

You are going to want to run them 18/6 to get them as much daily light as you can.

Let me elaborate on something I said in the previous post. The lighting guidance is not just for flowering. Seedlings are fine with less light, but once the plants are a few weeks old they are going to need more light that what they currently have.

Light intensity is measured in PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density.) Here are PPFD minimum guidelines for each growth stage:

Seedlings: 300 PPFD
Veg: 600 PPFD
Flower: 800 PPFD

You can download the Photone app on your phone. It will measure PPFD for you.

HLG, Spider Farmer, and Mars Hydro all make good lights, HLG being the best of the bunch. Again, be sure that you get a light built with Samsung LM301 diodes. These are the most effective diodes on the market. They put out less heat and provide more light intensity per watt than any other model diode.

Currently running 18/6 dimmed to 75%
I was looking at the hlg scorpion. Should I run the humidifier at night? I give the plants a break from the fan at night I should mention. Set on the same timer with the lights.

Run your fan 24/7. The more airflow the better.

What is your nighttime humidity?

You only have 100 watts. Turn the light all the way up. I can’t emphasize enough how important a lot of light is for productive growth.

The HLG Scorpion would be a fantastic light. The PPFD guidelines I posted are minimums, but I run ~350 watts above each of my plants and get plants like this:

I agree with fellow members on your light. I have the same size tent and had a sf4000 untill the dimmer started going out on me. I ordered a VS4000 to replace and I’m in flower with Ice Cream Cake from Purple City Genetics. I haven’t grown in happy frog. Always Kings mix from Royal Gold.

I know with kings mix, I don’t have to feed for a couple weeks. I was able to clone and have plants for next time around after harvesting. I’ve done Blue Dream from seed acouple grows ago and a clone. I’ve included some photos of my set up and clones.

Just downloaded that app. I turned the lights up to 100%. It’s only showing 150ppfd.
I will keep the fan on now to 24/7
Night time humidity 50%
I should go ahead and transplant here in the next couple days then. But also want more light to help with the transplant since they will be spaced out farther and not so direct under the light.

No need for a humidifier then. I shoot for 50 to 60% during veg and 35 to 45% during flower to minimize the risk of mold or mildew.

Welcome to the forum. @MidwestGuy is absolutely right about lighting. Lighting is your most important thing and should be the majority of your budget. The light you have should be fine for seedling but you’re going to want more during veg and especially flower. I believe a good rule of thumb is >200 watt per plant or >40 watts per square foot of space.
You’re off to a good start and you’re in the right place. I have learned more since being on this forum than I learned in decades before. Everything you need to know is somewhere on here. Feel free to ask questions.
Best advice I can say is check out some grow journals and find someone doing it the way you’d like to and copy everything they do as best you can.

Without the humidifier running 24/7 it drops hard down to 30%. I just got the humidifier and have been running for 3 days. Within those three days they really took off.

Target the RH ranges that I suggested above and adjust as necessary. 30% is a little too low.

So should I drop the light lower?

A general rule is if that you can feel the heat from your lighting on the back of your hand when your hand is held at the tops of the plants, then it is too close. Anything else is fair game.

Man…I either just got an incredible deal or I just screwed myself. I just checked the vivosun site and they have a sale going on where the VS4000 is $48.50. I ordered one!

I hope that you got that deal and were not scammed. I just checked their WEB site and the VS4000 was $299.99. You may have slipped in before an error was corrected, good luck.

I just said screw it and ordered the vsfd 6500
For the girls.
Transplanted with myco in new moist hole
Myco on rootball before transplant also. See what happens here in the next couple days.
