Im looking for a mentor for my next grow, wanting to use coco perlite mix,
Seeds are strawberry diesel.
Read jacks 123 is good with coco.
I have time to prep, just looking for info and gromiehood!

@OGIncognito has some great grows. @MadamCalamity and @Low have a huge coco/Jacks grow going. Loooooots of coco/Jacks growers here. I grow in coco minus the perlite using jacks. It’s kinda tough for one grower to be a solo coach, but use the @ symbol to tag other growers and we all respond as quick as we can.

Wow that was quite a response, glad you are all here.
My current setup is
Lighting is 6 lamp t5 fixture with mixture of 6500k daylight and 3 6500k in blue spectrum. Also have a couple of cheap home depot grow lights i used for seedlings
Wanting to use coco because i always have it around for tortoise bedding. I’ll post pick of coco pack, says low salt low ec and organic, if theres a better choice ill change brands.
Read something about pre flushing for a week with calmag?
Going to use jacks for nutes as i see thats very popular. I was looking for a jacks 123 on amazon and lots of different stuff comes up
but confused about the 123. What exactly should i plan on needing for that?
Using tap water with ph down, have been using fox farm basic three pack.
Straight coco or coco with perlite or any other mixture, if i can do it with just coco i will,
Have a 4 x 8 tent but dont really want more than 3 in there, ill go with 2 or even one if they can get as huge as some of the pics ive seen here.
Grow log question, what should i monitor daily, have heard about the grow log on here and i will start one, what should i be monitoring and recording daily on my own handwritten log, what kind of information will i need to know if looking for advice?
Ill try not to add too many questions at once.

Congratulations on your beginning journey these guys that have been tagged as well as many others on here are among the best growers from all over the world. I’m looking into jacks myself for my next hydroponic grow. Happy growing sounds like you have already gotten a great plan together.

Nice choice with the coco. Not knowing the brand I would rinse it as a precautionary measure and use a TDS to check the EC. Unfortunately the light fixtures you have won’t get the job done in Flower. They’re great for veg and the plants will flower just won’t develop as well as they would under a full spectrum fixture. Jacks 321 can be purchased on Amazon, you’ll need part A and B, the Epsom can be omitted or purchased separately from a local store. I don’t pre-charge the coco, I just give it a full strength nutrient drench and transplant the seedling I started in a solo cup

Im looking at ac infinity ionframe ev03 2×4’, would that be ok for a couple of plants? Is more money than i was hoping to spend right now, but i do want to do this right. Also noticed i can daisy chain so can always add to lighting if i want more down the road.
This is coco im considering?

AC Infinity is a good light and I would rinse that coco just to be safe

I have new ac infinity lights on the way,
My t5 setup i thought was working ok, but after looking at stuff and pics on here they dont give me desired results.
Would like to thank you all that responded, would tag you all if i can figure out how to do it.

I dropped my light fixture on my plants while adjusting height, didnt hurt the lights any but sure fucked up a couple of plants?
Have another 4×4 tent im thinking of setting up in same unoccupied room.
Maybe good for cloning(which ive never tried) using t5 lamps?
