I have figured out that my hand trim buds will never look like the Despensarie machine trim. The machine smashes the buds as they are trimming. Even more so if they do anykind of wet, semi wet trimming. And of course part of the process actually powders they bud in kief produced during the trim. Which also explains the high THC levels. My hand trim preserves the red/ purple hairs and the buds look Organic/ natural. You can look at them with a microscope and see the trichomes intact.

The bag trimmer is good then you have dense buds. I have never tried a bowl trimmer.

Bowl trimmer is the one that smashes the nuggets with the pieces of rubber that is weighted ? I think that is how most commercial size trimmers also work. The bag that you shake looks like it definitely removes all of the hairs and definitely destroys the tricomes. I bet the trimming have a higher THC than the buds. Hand trim all the way.

We use a bowl trimmer for everything but the really nice tops. Those get hand-trimmed.
I think some of the issues with dispensary flower is how it’s dried as well as processed. Our homegrown is far superior to anything I’ve ever had from the store.

It does remove quite a bit of good stuff but it makes potent gummies after decarb. I run it through the magic butter machine to turn to tincture.

Before i hang to dry I trim everything off the does have tricomes/resin on it. After trimming I cure the larf also for a couple of weeks , toss it in the freezer for a coulpe of days. Break out the silkscreen and make some dry sift hash
