Tom's Tumble Trimmer?

I’m looking down the barrel of a larger harvest than I’ve had previously … I’m not excited about the trimming…

Anyone used a Tom’s Tumble Trimmer? The smallest one is hand-cranked and ~$500? Renting one ends up being about half that per day (for larger-capacity units).

Invite friends, buy pizza and give a little weed reward for helping.

@Jungle don’t use a machine because you are going to loose a bunch of trichomes that way…I have seen the results of one of those machines and it works but definitely takes your smoke down a notch

I hate trimming as well. My girls can get a little out of hand when its a Sativa Dominant plant. My Indicas stay pretty short and stout like it should.

There is not much trimming on my Indicas which I love.

@Nicky recommends spin bowl trimmer. I have seen mention of I Power bowl trimmers too. I don’t grow enough to justify a mechanical trimmer. I dry trim and use a canna brush while finish trimming.

Highly recommended spin bowl trimmer.

All the trimmers are aggressive, so keep in mind you want to be dealing with a substantial harvest before considering one. They don’t do a perfect job but they do a good job, if your really picky you may go through them after I personally do a very rough 2nd overview trim.

The spin pro is Canadian made and has been used in the industry for a while, it uses wires that spin at high speeds rather then a bunch of knifes that eventually get dull.

Even 10,000$ Commerical trimmers give the same type of result. Lots of trim material left, aggressive, does a mechanical looking job people love a close trim but its not perfect.

I heard mixed reviews about the I power and these other bowl trimmers that use knives but I’m sure they do an okay job.

Hope you have bubble hash bags or like making oil/butter with all your leftover trim.

I chop my plants branch by branch and remove all the fan leafs, toss the buds in the trimmer till its full, spin away, overlook it with my trimmers, rinse repeat boom done.

Spin pro is a wet trimmer (I like that because less tricomb loss), however it means your buds dry out faster so ensure you have a well controlled drying system /area to slow the dry down of all the nugs you trim. A fast dry = bad cure = harsh smoke and reduces terps

I have one of these. Have not used it yet. VIVOSUN 16 inch Bud Leaf Bowl Trimmer. I removed the handle and took an Allen wrench that fits and grinded it down to fit a drill so I didn’t have to hand turn it.
