If the PPMs were way up then I would understand the low PH from the salts left in the coco. Run off PPMs were 1600 so I assumed this would be the case, and have been feeding around 1100 so did the flush out with Calmag bringing the PPM into range but with a higher PH at 6.2 to raise the root zone PH to 5.8 which it was at lights off last night. Then this morning it was 5.5 lol. I didn’t take run off numbers earlier in the afternoon feed though, was in a hurry. I’ll have to check again in the morning
Nearly lights on time. Will do run off check again
FFS! PH in @ 5.8 PPM in @ 1120 PH out @ 5.3 and PPM same as going in. So I raised PH to in @ 6.2 and came out 5.4 and PPM remained same too
Plants do look very happy though. Leaves are green, pistils white, trichome production on the go so I really don’t know lol
Was thinking of doing a Calmag flush @ 700 PPM, 6 PH in, 3hours into the dark cycle to see if it is too much salts left in the coco. Even though the EC hasn’t risen in the root zone. Frozen Black Cherry showing no issues beginning week 5 of actual flower
And the Blue Cheese also doing well
Considering, they look great. Bizarre run off.
I think I may have figured this out. It appears the lower PH run off is more severe when I pour the nutrient in the centre of the pot around the stem. The root mass will be more compact than the outer edges due to the longer veg time in the 7litre pot before potting up to the 25Lt square pots. So if I just pour liberally all over the surface then the PH is fine. But I just spent 2 hours slowly pouring through the centre and the PH run off went as low as 5.0
I’ll try this on the Gelato in the morning as the EC has risen and needs to come down a bit. Will do a centre pour on the one Gelato and outer pour on the other Gelato ![]()
@Low So I mixed my Nutes at an EC of 1.6 and set PH to 5.8 for this mornings feed. My EC meter is on the 700 scale so PPMs going in would be 1120. Gelato plant A was fed 5L at a very slow feed rate concentrated around the stem to try get the flow through the main root mass. Run off figures below
Sorry to hear
Does it get enough airflow behind the plant next to the wall?
It was before I moved it there to avoid the gale force winds lol
Also I’mnot too concerned about it though, the outdoor stuff will be used for edibles. Just need to be careful no spores find their way inside!
WPM isn’t the worst thing that can happen, but it does suck. peroxide and water spray can clear it up, and bud washing helps.
Yeah I always bud wash, even the indoor. Those outdoor plants are almost ready anyway, time to strip some fans and feed extra SOP in their afternoon meals. Do you use potassium sulphate during the last 4 weeks with your indoor grows? I am convinced my buds are louder, and improved terps / flavour ( according to the testers )
That’s pretty cool. I don’t supplement anything plane Jane. ![]()
Finally got some time to continue mounting the 8” intake filter box and fan. Had to do a pigeon cull this morning and do another one this evening. Hoping to get it done today
Getting there. Just need to break through the plaster on the open end, make a coupler and machine a hole for downward flow in the 8” pipe
Got to break through the plaster on the other side without making dust on this lot. They in the sticky phase…
Ingenuity! Not a bad looking hole at all man. Really digging the set up, nice work!
