First Grow, Bruce Banner and Gorilla Glue #4

Hey yall so im on day 6 of germination or maby its day 3 of seedling, im still learning. Everything so far seems to be ok. Ill give yall a rundown of the setup.

48x48x80 Vivosun Grow Tent
2x 450W LED Viparspectras
Ac Infinity 6 inch Exhaust Fan (buying next week, not super pertinent at the moment)
Happy Frog soil for the whole grow
5 Gallon Fab Pots

So I was curious about something, well a few things. First off is this where people post to show their grow from beginning to end?? It be nice to follow other peoples grow as it could be beneficial for learning hah
I may be over watering my seedling idk. I spray in the morning with my water sprayer misting the top soil until decent wet but by noon its dry as the dessert. How is the tap root ingesting water if it dries so fast. Also does my one Cotyledon leaf look burnt? Yall see the yellow in it? Ill be doing Bergmans Food once the cotyledon leaves dry up and die off.

Welcome to the forum. You posted exactly in the right place for your journal. There are lots of great journals to read under this topic.

Your cotyldons look fine that I can tell from the pics and you won’t need to feed right away with the Happy Frog soil, there’s plenty of nutes in it to get the seedlings to veg, so I wouldn’t start nutrients just yet.

Don’t be tempted to overwater! Seedlings don’t need much, about a teaspoon a day is it.

whoa! ok first off thanks so much for the responce and second only a teaspoon?? that seems so crazy to me hah Then again i wonder if maybe thats all im really giving them with the 5-6 mist squirts i give each plant. Yea so i noticed some yellowing in the plant so i wanted to make sure it wasnt water or even light burn. I didnt mention this but i have the LEDs 19-20 inches away.

I don’t see any yellowing in the pics, but I would move the light up a few more inches to 24", seedlings don’t need much light either.

It’s also possible you’re getting some nute burn from the soil when you water.

Yea so on the right side leaf that discoloration is actually yellow but for some reason my phone didnt wanna properly focus on the plant only the soil. Im gonna go adjust the lights right now!

I wouldn’t worry about it. Your seedlings look nice and healthy.

Nice setup and welcome to the forum my man. Good luck eith the grow. And like the pretty lady said. Light watering. Ur mistings dont sound overly harsh if its drying. Maybe 2-3 lol. And jack that light up a few inches (if u havent already) also pics were you want to show discoloration are better shown in normal light if possible. Easier to see in a photo. But again good luck.

Thanks man! I really appreciate all the feedback, I moved the lights to a distance of 24 inches. There is yellow in the cotyledon leaves. I wonder if maybe the lights were to close…idk

If its the cots then it maybe just a hungry girl. Best bet is wat u did. Adjust for possible lightburn n wait her out. With a watchful eye

Those girls will grow up to be monsters. Read everything you can, ask any question. I would consider using a scrog with those girls.

Sweet Baby Jesus!! What’s wrong with her boyz! That’s one of the Bruce Banner strains. 24 inch distance from led 450 light. 4 mists of water at 5.8 ph in the morning and a tbsp at night.

Oh yea I’m def using a scrog! I’m so excited actually to try it. I didn’t plan to grow that many ladies but if they are all strong I have the room so I’m not gonna kill any. So I feel the scrog is gonna be crucial for my grow.

Doesnt look like anything serious. Maybe burn from rhe lights. When u mist the water forms droplets which is lens’d n magnify’d by the lights. Try to mist soil. If u must mist leaves, do so near end of light cycle.

So i actually mist the soil and try my hardest not to even touch the plant becuz of root rot am I right for doing this?

Root rot comes from soil staying too wet too often. Roots need to breath just like they need to drink. Look at ur photo, ur doing well. Water around the outside edges of the cup/pot when i seedling stage. Encourages the roots to stretch out n chase the water. And an overwet stem encourages ‘dampening off’ which is thin frail stems that eventually topple over and die.

Thank you again! I really look forward to this grow and your expertise! This site forum is so awesome. Hey question so i thought i decide on how long it stays in veg, but then i was reading that it will take 70-90 days to flower. So what happens if i veg for 30 days then switch the lights to 12/12. Like I understand when iglm says itll take about 8-10 weeks for flower and what not i just dont get the it wont flower until 90 days part. I was not at all expecting to be in Veg for 3 months

Problem with short veg time they are still small so when you flip they wont grow to their potential. If youve got a 6" plant then flip largest it will probably become is 12".
