Hey guys back again cloudforge t3

So the cloudforge t3 arrived says distilled water recommended but can i add any water such as purified, ph’d, or even nutrient added water ? Atm i do have purified without nutes aswell but not ph just yet idk if the ph matters for humidity lol.

Use it though purified water may be used if the latter is the only option available, distilled is normally better though don’t stress too much about the pH necessary for humidity though it important for the plants. The only thing about this that I would warn others about is if you’re using water other than tap water, make sure that the water is clean water.

So purified wont hurt it just when i can get destilled then swap.

Not sure about purified, but the others in your humidifier is not good. It could damage the device. You want to use distilled exclusively if it’s available. Especially water with nutes will hurt the device.

I used tap water for a short while in my CPAP and the result was calcium deposits on the heating element.

I’ve never read the instructions on a humidifier but I’ve always just used my tap water and other then it will build “white stuff” I assume is calcium over time, i just clean it and roll on :man_shrugging:

I’ve got 2 of these that’s about 5 years old running tap water through them.

Same with my Cpap when I had to use tap.

The T3 manual explains how to remove mineral deposits using vinegar and water. ACI realizes that most people will use tap water.

I would expect nutrients to clog something eventually. Vinegar and water might fix that, too, but you should check with ACI before using the T3 to mist your plants with nutrients.

Be careful with brake cleaner, it doesn’t play nice with most plastics and you don’t want to breath that stuff in aerosol form. any clean water is fine, but the more dissolved solids in the water the the faster things will wear out. the more often you clean the less the previous statement is true. I personally use good RO water because I don’t like the film that many minerals leave on hard surfaces the mist hits, but most people don’t notice it.

My Keurig has similar instructions for a descale cycle and button.
They even sell “Keurig Descale Pods” for convenience.
