Help with first and last time autos

Dont have a clue as to what im doing with these. GDP auto, 7 or 8 weeks old, soil bas 3.0, top dressed a month ago with worm castings, fed twice with general hydroponics flora micro, gro and bloom, cannazym half a dozen times and recharge twice. Do i just let these grow as they will and how do i know when these are done? Cant wait to get back in comfort zone with photos.

The same way you know photo plants are done…when the flowers ripen.

Autos finish in 10-14 weeks usually from seedlings

@John7 can you explain to me why you like autos over photos? It’s something I’ve never understood as a photo grower. I’ve always been curious if I’m missing something or if autos just aren’t my style.

IMO autoflowers even a caveman can do it using fox farm products using an Mars hydro overpowered light in a 2x4 tent in Infinity circulation exhaust system. Why do I say this cuz I have no expert but I read up on what to do and my first grow in every grow has always been very great as posted. I run the light 18 on 6 off throughout the whole growth cycle. Here are there 24 hours plus a light like today I want to put my new fan in.
I feel autos are forgiven they are quicker than photos and they fit in my tent. I know every Auto that I’ve been growing takes 16 weeks some even 17 to 18 weeks. I like my trichomes amber-ish with explosions yay. Here is 9 weeks for me and I still got another seven give or take more give I’m patient.

I’m also trimming leaves like I’m Edward scissorhands in the beginning ish. The one on the left grew 22 inches and 11 days the middle stalk.
I’m scared of photos I feel you got to be more precise with lights time of flowering time of budding then the height forget about it. And don’t even get me going on hydroponics how precise I feel you have to be on that. Just like some people don’t like soil. This is my two cents I love autos flowers :hibiscus:

I have that same luck with photos and the added plus with photos they will handle abuse even in the flowering stage to produce more. I’m in week 7, 8, or 9 with the auto and afraid to look at it the wrong way, fearing stressing and longer time growing with no added benefits, i can grow a photo in the time frame you do an auto.

Are you saying you can grow a photo in 17 weeks? If yes that’s awesome. There’s a post I did with camping skewers and you can see how mine looked like yours I gave it the old Edward scissors hand treatment and here we are 3 weeks later the plant coming back with a vengeance. Don’t feel scared getting rid of some of those huge Andre the Giant leaves.
Also your plants look awesome they just have a long way to go good luck

I really don’t know. I guess they finish faster. My first auto grow was grand daddy purple. Was some good smoke but I was growing in soil and they were small in size and yield wasn’t big. Then I went hydroponic and my grow was super skunk auto. This was the result, the plants were big and my yield was 3x with much less problems. I like hydroponic and can’t see every switching back to soil.

Thanks for the opinions fellas I always appreciate a different point of view. I think I still tend to fall into the not my flavor camp. I usually average 18-20 weeks with lots of HST (topping 8-16 times) and I can say they are bigger than any of the dozen or so autos I’ve grown by far. I have seen some pretty impressive autos around here, I’m just not too good with them. I think my biggest was 5-6 OZ. I haven’t gone full Hydro yet, but I hear it’s not too much different from some of the coco stuff I’ve done which has yielded some pretty impressive girls. I’m just now going back to soil for some comparative growing. Sorry to clog up your topic @Boogy, I didn’t think about that when I asked.

Autos needed for winter indoor grow.
I need lights on produce heat and most hours of operation.
Photos for summer indoor grow, least heat from lights.
In my grow plan.
