I was thinking of doing a “FastBuds” run next go. “Purple Lemonade” & “Gorilla Cookies” from their website and social media they paint the picture that they are the authority in autoflowers. However outside of their Network the majority of the feedback is quite different.
Have you ever tried any of their seeds? I already have the seeds so they got to get put to use sometime.
Yeah, I’ve grown a bunch of Fastbuds autos. Neither of the 2 you have, but definitely the parent strains of Gorilla Cookies. I’ve grown their Gorilla Glue, Girlscout Cookies, Zkittles, Green Crack, Six Shooter, and a few I’m not remembering at the moment. I’d rank them as definitely solid genetics, but their plants were usually on the smaller side compared to ILGM and Mephisto. The buds were typically pretty plump and covered in frost. Most definitely worth growing if you already have the seeds. Next time you’re looking for new seeds, you should go to Mephistos site and check out their autos. Their buds are top notch!

I do believe I went Mempsto before when you mentioned them a while back. If I’m not mistaken their seeds aren’t named like regular strands.
Example if it’s the place I’m thinking of it had stuff like “porcupine alien coffee” or “mischief monster invasion” just off the wall names. Believe it or not that drove me out of the website fast. I’ll check them out again.
By the way you had green crack in your list of fast buds you’ve grown. I’ve been trying to buy that from them for 6 months they’re out of it all the time. It’s absolutely something I want to grow it’s reputation is huge and they say fast buds has one of the best. And yes one of the major complaints was how small fast buds plants are. I think I’ll go ahead and do that run next
Is Memphsto seed company in the USA?
Yes indeed, they have some very unique strain names, lol. They were very frustrating to deal with years ago because of how small of a company it was. The site was only opened for business like one day every few months, and anything they had available would sell out in under an hour. They’ve grown quite a bit since then, and now they have a full time USA operation and a website that’s easier to navigate.
I’ve found that the individual strain information they provide is very accurate, except for the finishing times. They claim some of their autos will be done in 60 to 65 days, but that’s never been the case for me. They pretty much all take 90 to 110 days to be fully ripened and ready for harvest.
A few of my absolute favorites are Forum Stomper, Mango Smile, 24 Carat, Super Orange Haze, Sour Orange Diesel Kush, and Creme De La Chem.
A few that were decent but I didn’t love very much were Strawberry Nuggets, Skywalker, and Gold Glue.
The Fastbuds Green Crack is definitely a good one, but I do remember it being out of stock pretty often back when I was growing their strains.

I did what you said with big girl and put an additional 50 EC of big bud rounding her off to 800 EC her run off was 934EC
I bought some dowel steaks and twist ties and spent over an hour securing her gigantic top-heavy colas. She’s a lot easier to handle and I feel a little more secure moving her now. She’s not the prettiest thing anymore but she’s happy and healthy and moving right along. We’re both sincerely grateful that you’ve been so caring and helpful.

As for the Do-Si-Dos girl, it appears she’s made a tremendous recovery however, she’s a Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
She wasn’t receptive to the LST at all. Then again she got sick right after I started and I had to discontinue to let her recover. It seems to be a bit too late to try anymore LST as she went into her stretch and boy did she stretch she’s tall as shit has lots of branches but very little bud sites at all.
Not really sure what else to do with her. I may have to take her off the milk crate as her main cola is only about 7 in from the light. I would try to super crop her but she’s been so stressed from being sick it’s probably not a good idea.

Everything in the tent is now well in to flowering. I have the vipar spectrum KS5000 light in the tent. It’s at 75% do you see any reason I should take it to 100% or should I leave it at 75% ?
With the big girl, it’s amazing that from these pics you can’t even tell that you lolipopped her. I know you did because I saw the pics, but that’s how well they can fill back out. In the future, you can be more aggressive with how much you remove if you want more of the resources to be concentrated on the top bud sites. She still looks very pretty to me!
I think the Dosido is past the point of being super cropped, except for a super emergency case if she was growing into the light. I’d probably take her off the crate, but ultimately I’d suggest going by the instructions of the grow light manufacturer and whatever distance they say their light should be from your canopy. Most suggest 12 to 18 inches in flower, byt I’ve had them closer a few times with taller plants.
I’d say with the Vipar Spec you can go to 100% as long as it’s at a safe distance from the top colas.
I just went and got supplies for my next grow. Unfortunately my local grow store was out of my Mother Earth Coco Peat soil, so I had to go with Roots Organics Original. I don’t like switching brands, but I didn’t have a choice.
Should I cut all the bigger fan leaves and leaves that aren’t sugar leaves up at the tops?
She looks great as is right now, I don’t think I’d pull anything with the exception of a fan leaf here or there if you felt it was blocking light or it would improve air flow.
Usually about a week or two before I’m planning on cutting them down, I remove all fan leaves. This gives the stems a chance to heal over in all the spots I pull leaves from before the drying phase begins.

I’ve been meaning to ask you this for a week and I keep forgetting. As you know my tent is full of girl scout cookies extreme with the exception of 2 Do-Si-Dos
All the girl scout cookies are deep in the flowering and they all have fairly nice performing Bud production and every single one of them has white hair covered in sugar Frost.
There’s one exception. This girl all of her hair is amber’ish she’s about a week behind the big girl along with three or four others all the same white hair white Frost. I’m sure that there all the same I only had cookies at the time. Why would she be Amber and not as Frosty. Don’t get me wrong her buds are right up there with the big girl. I’m lost on that one.

Likely just a phenotype variation. I’ve had times where I’ve grown several of the same strain at once and had them all be very different from each other. It’s actually kind of rare that I get uniformity within strains.
So I’m assuming white hair red hair and her hair all of it doesn’t really matter
Typically the pistils stay lighter in color until the last few weeks, but sometimes they darken up a little early. I’d guess that she’s going to ripen a bit faster than the others, so she might be ready to harvest before the rest.
I see. As far as Bud production she is keeping up with big girl. Thanks for clearing that up!

If you recall we had a conversation a few weeks back about old '70s and '80s strand hunts. So I’m sitting here feeding the girl scout cookie extreme girl that has the Amber hair rather than white hair that we talked about yesterday. I noticed she had two little bud sites all the way at the bottom so I pulled them off as they would have amounted to absolutely nothing.
I took a lighter to it and low and behold it smelled just like that old school sweet black pepper smelling Hawaiian that I used to Love. I haven’t smoked that smell since the 1984 Van Halen tour.
Girl scout cookies a mixture of OG Kush an dursban poison. I had no idea both of them are from the mid 70s. I might have accidentally stumbled across something I’ve been looking for for a very long time. That’s not to say she’s going to finish smelling that way however gives me something to look forward to. Happy hump day buddy.
Everything in the tent looks fantastic everything in there is eating anywhere from 650 to 800 and running off 850 to 1100 couldn’t answer anything better. Thank you so much!
I’d say there’s a very strong likelihood that the smell and taste of the bud you sampled is what the finished product will be like. Did the smell bring back memories of other things from that same time? I like when that happens, and it’s only once in a great while when we get so lucky.
