My GG4 and Oreoz are doing great. The smell is getting better and the smoke is getting smoother. Been in bags since February.
Grove bags are awesome!
Dry reefer until it shows 10-12% moisture on a wood or hay moisture meter that will work out to approximately 58-63% rh by little hygrometer in a grove bagā¦ Leave sit sealed for over 4weeksā¦longer is betterā¦ Perfectly cured reefer.
Make sure to leave air in the bag before closingā¦ Donāt squeeze out the airā¦ And if possible heat seal them for maximum effect.
I still have boxes of jars laying aroundā¦ I should start canning or pickling.
Actually @noddykitty1 returned my decorative jar with seeds. really appreciated sharing seeds as we have.
I want to try the new Grove Bags. The ones in a roll that use a vacuum sealer.
Bags, under vacuum, will collapse.
Collapsed bags may crush buds.
If wanting to vacuum, use jars.
If you want to āHEATā seal a bag, that requires a different device.
TBT, I bought my bags from Grove. Simple seal bags (Zip-lock style).
Now I will research the vacuum seal bags you mention.

Agree with the consensus. Been using them for about 2 years now. My neighbor is so worried about mold/rot that he dries faster than is optimal and loses the aroma and flavor. I have taken some of his buds and after he has dried, I place it in the grove bag and get the humnidity back up to 60% and leave it for a month or 2. I took some of his smoke back to him and did not tell him it was his. As soon as he toked off the bong he was like this is mineā¦why does it taste and smell so much better? Yup, they work!!
Tip for long term storage. After the cure in the groves, place the buds back in mason jars and heat seal them in the sealable bags, not groves just regular heat seal bags. 6 more months and it is phenom. Also doing it this way doesnāt crush the buds.
I have buds now In the bags for 12 months now and it just gets better with age.
I just looked on their websight and seen them. I have to agree i think it would smash them
Half gallon glass jars work well for long term storage, not in freezer.
I would be afraid to wash and induce mold or bacteria.
I would rather order another 50 bags for ounce material.
No need to vacuum. Leave air space at top of bag. The air space is an active feature of their function. They exchange air in and out of bags during cure and aging. Notice I separated cure from aging! Imo 2 separate things going on here. I have seen that after 7 months in the bags the quality has gotten so much better in the Buzz, flavor, aroma. The improvement is remarkable. From my last 2 grows I am aging for at least 7/8 months from now on! Not sure why Iām surprised as in most agricultural products are aged. Beef. ,tobacco, some fruit ect, ect, ect.
Imo mold or mildew just isnāt an issue.
