Hello All:
I’m week 10 into the flowering phase of my BBanners, and was primed to harvest. About 5 days ago I started getting a flush of new white hairs and since, the buds have gone from 60% darkened pistils noticably snow white with pistils/ mini foxtails… looks like coral polyps.
I’ve been only using pH’d water for the last 3 waterings(11 days). Light is 11/13, temp 77*, humidity 55% ave.
I’ve looked with a magnifiying glass and don’t see much visible resins,sticky to the touch, no smell unless you get right on the colas.
To harvest or no… thats the question

Also how close are your lights to the top of the buds sometimes it could happen from light stress and honestly sometimes it’s just a genetic thing
Some types of foxtailing are an indication the plant is mature and ready for harvest. Others; not so much. We do need pictures in natural light.

Pics would help also what does ur tricomes look like?
. Tricomes, I honestly don’t see any. I’ve used the same glass looking at other types I’ve grown,and saw them plainly. not very sticky even when handled. The single leaves growing out have little dusting. 600 w led is 24" from canopy, can’t go any higher. As said before, a week ago the buds had predominately dark pistils. Not being familiar with the species, I’m clueless.

Let’s see an overall shot of the plant and one cola. How dense is the flower? Is it fairly loose or more like a chunk of plastic? How big around on the biggest cola?
Bruce Banner is not one I’ve tried but it’s supposed to be a high yielding strain: I would expect to see lots of frost on it.
I’ve grown skunk exclusively and outdoors so It’s an unfair comparison, the flower prior to this event weren’t individually very solid, alot of em packed close together makes the cola feel more substantial. All the colas range between 2.25/2.75 dia. I cut 1/3 earlier today, be interesting to let it go and see what happens.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking too. If you get any skinny foxtails you can cut those off close to the cola to stop it. Not a bad idea as you are trying for overall bulk and not fingers of skinny flower lol.
It’s also not uncommon for a plant to pause in flower before resuming bud stacking.

Is it uncommon for BB to have such a long flowering period?. The seed I got here, so this can’t be unheard of. Lack of smell concerns me, as does the lack of tricomes. It’d be helpful having input from one of the developers. I’m gonna let it go, keep the light 11d/13l and lightly feed …see what happens.

Every seed is different. Every plant is different. A grower will select for a characteristic and then clone and seed until finding what they like. All you can really do is use flowering time as a guideline. Your setup and terroir will affect the lifecycle.

BTW…you never said if plant is auto or photo?
suggest you consider the 3 plain watering has loosened/freed up some built up salts.
that would explain a sudden resurgence of growth. bottom line…not an issue.

Good Morning: Thanks for the input. I don’t know whether it’s auto/photo, I purchased the seeds here. I’ve flushed per the Fox Farms schedule. So… all things considered, should I harvest or let her go on and see what happens?

I’d give her a little time to see what happens. If you develop any skinny fingers just cut em off.

maybe its time to harvest in case they go the otherway and start decreasing in potency…in my humble opinion

Don’t know what happened, but the grow was a bust. Never did develop any smell, very few trics. Most amazing was the colas, almost like cotton candy… looked substantial, but nothing to em. I processed the whole plant and never had to clean the scissors… Going back to square 1 and gonna give Blue Cheese a whirl. I really appreciate all the help/advice you folks offered.

The plant has revegged instead of being in full flower, most probably due to lightleaks… interrupting the dark period, timer… whatever the case that was the issue.
Hey there @Myfriendis410, @Oldsmoker same kind of thing with my Seedsman Black Sugar photo. But I know when the error happened. @ week 4 of flower I pulled a genius move and left the (very substantial) bank of lights on in the grow area over night with the tent flap wide open. It’s a 20”x36” tent in a 5’x5’ closet area with 16 4’ fluorescents and 1 250w halogen…all on high all night. So 89F -20% RH (quickly fixed). Then @ a4 day pause in flowering then, fox tailing followed. But there are loads of trichomes now and she looks to be real close to chop. I’ll put up a few pics from this AM.
