Fox tailing? PLEASE HELP

The way i understand foxtailing, and yes still looks like it, is the trichomes being on newer growth will appear clearer vs the trichomes deep within the bud where the true ripeness can be found. Some snip them off along with the sugar leaves during trimming and some just smoke them too. May not be quite as potent but still gets the job done.

I think this is one of the reasons curing is important, to eliminate chlorophyll through degradation providing a more tasteful and smoother smoking experience.

Got some grove bags!

Deep in the bud it is still very lime green but on the outside the hairs are brown orange and fall off easily

My wife has used it with good results. Myself , i use products that have the phosphorus and the potassium without any nitrogen. At least this only has nitrogen of 1%.

They both been in flower since the first week of December. There is SO many leaves is insane! Suggestions what to do with all the trim? Anything easily done im all ears! Think this is even worth keeping?

When u say look deep in yhe bud at trichomes like u mean close to the stalk? Maybe 3/4 way done branch and close to the stalk?

Still looks really clear to me. they also look like they are fox-tailing. The new growth (the fox-tails) won’t be mature. If you can get to an older bud deeper inside and at least 1/3rd the way down the plant, you might see something different. You’ll probably have to reach deep in to one bud and pluck it directly from the stem to be able to see it.

Most fan leaves you trim aren’t worth anything. I’ve heard you can juice them, but I don’t. The have sugar leaves, you can freeze right away, then save them up to make ice hash, or dry and harvest the kief or make qwet.

yes, the fox-tails just keep building on each other, hiding the older buds.

Did you ever say what strain that is? I just chopped blueberry wedding cake that weny 11 weeks in flower. Didnt think it would ever ripen. I sterted dimming the lights and dropping the temps and seems they clouded up and started seeing some amber. As for all the trim, i mostly use a trim bowl and the trim makes amazing prerolls also scoop up the kief and sprinkle back onto the buds. The rest i extract for edibles and carts. Youll get it figured out.

Dont get down on yourself bossman. Some strains foxtail whether we like it or not, just the ways of the weed… dont start freaking out and chopping… just lower the intensity of your lights a bit, drop your temps if poss, and let her finish up. She will be fine. Ive had plenty of buds foxtail and still produce bangin bud.

Like so many others have mentioned above, it’s not the end of the world and it’s not time wasted. Some genetics just foxtail easy and that’s all… it will still be good smoke and get the job done.

I have a zkittelz strain that always foxtails ever single time I grow it, her and I have a love hate relationship…

The Chemdawg right next to her no problems… loving life… would take more light and more food if I gave it to her… but I have to play somewhere in the middle for the benefit of the two…

Try some different genetics and I think you will be happy.
