Hi, growing:
Autoflower: Gold Leaf (ILGM)
Age: 11 weeks from sprout
Light: 2-1000W spider farmer LED
Medium: cocoa quoir perlite mix, dry amended with 2-8-4 4-4-4 worm castings and bone meal… top dressing and using cal-mag, sillica, and momouth6 in the waterings…
Have questions regarding “flush” and “harvest” timing…
We are first time growers and are learning as we go… know we’ve made some mistakes which partly explains some of the differences in our plants as well as overcrowding, which we will address next run.
Getting concerned as to timing at this point since they all seem to be in differing stages. To be honest I’ve done a ton of reading since we started the project and I’m a bit braindead at this point…
When do I flush the plants before harvest? Most of the reading says a couple weeks and then a couple days in darkness before harvest. My problem is that how do I determine “a couple weeks from harvest”???
Also wondering about the actual harvest time, is that just intingent on the trichome coloring???
And finally, 3of our plants look like the bud formations are similar but the others look like different plants entirely (to a noob), is this something of our doing? Or the environment?
Thanks for any help,
Rob
Looks like a few weeks left. Lotsa white and still filling out. Flush is 2 camps both very passionate. I am no flush camp. I just dont. Others hardcore flush. Lotsa info up here from both camps.
Looks good
Plants from the same strain and same batch of seeds can look entirely different from each other like brothers and sisters.
Looks like your plants have a ways to go still before even considering flushing or not
Like @Storm said, you have a few weeks left. Flower/grow times on the store are estimates and under ideal conditions. I just give plain water the last week or two. Here’s a chart to check the trichomes (crystals). Check the buds, not the sugar leaves. Good luck and happy growing!!!
Yes
Each plant is different and can look completely different.
I think I’d let them go more than a few weeks they haven’t even started filling out yet.
Right On…
Much appreciated
Auto pilot … muscle memory from now on… It’s going to be a cure search next cold and slow … You still got a bit before they fill out once the hairs disappear basically you’re leaves will probably turn yellow but its good
You still have a while to go yet at least a few weeks
Only flush for pH or PPM out of range or if you have a salt buildup. You can see salt buildup on the external surface of fabric pots, and a salt buildup will cause pH out of range.
Are you monitoring PPM? It’s probably high, as I see a touch of nitrogen toxicity (dark waxy leaves and burned tips.)
You can do a one-and-done flush several days to a week before you harvest, or you can simply stop feeding 2 weeks before harvest. You have a few weeks to go yet.
Brothers and sisters often look nothing alike as well. It’s normal. I’m 5’9" with olive skin. My brother is 6’4" with pasty white skin.
