Hello! I am a first time grower and I had a couple questions about lighting and why my plants are droopy. One of my plants has yellowing leaves also. I think I might have been overwatering. I’m letting them dry out now. But to get to lighting I read the grow bible that you can download on this site and read it and it said to get a 36 watt light and put it 2-4 inches away from my plant canopy and I will post pics. We are still at the seedling stage also and they seem to be growing slowly. Possibly from overwatering? I’m just not sure and I’m worried. Any suggestions on a light would be awesome and any more help I could get would be great!
Reading about lighting is advised.
Each different type of light has different applications, benefits, or problems.
Lighting 40WATTS per plant minimum, to grow good weed (the web says).
So then you must determine how much space or tent?
Lights have heating issues and often require supervision.
The type of light and the spectrum produced needs be matched with plant, growth stages, and life.
I believe that light is good for clones and maybe seedlings,

What a fun ride, enjoy.
I have replaced my China cheap lights with HLG lights.
Now, to grow.

@Danzig77 — Your situation reminds me of where I was last year when I began growing. I tried a cheap light from Amazon and quickly realized I needed to upgrade as the light is among the most essential pieces of equipment for cannabis.
After my light lesson, I started reading everything I could on this forum. There is an embarrassment of riches to be had here. One of the best threads, IMHO, is from Hellraiser. He’s no longer here, but his wisdom lives on. You might consider checking it out, click here.
I will second @DEEPDIVERDAVE’s advice: Get an HLG light; you can’t go wrong with them.
The customer service is great and the light is built for growing for specific applications, by engineered design.
My HLG light use half the electricity and produce half the heat that the
Vipar Spectras do
Are you planning on growing the plants there and then move to a different location? If you are going to grow them there, I would start with 150w LED grow light. And if you get your grow going, add another 150w led later on.
