Electric Sky ES300 V3

My plants are 50 days since sprouting 3 super Skunk 1Mac.1 white widow auto Flower is 36 days since sprouted.
I think my cheap lights are not performing very good my plants should be better in my opinion. So I have been researching lights see a lot of people here like the hlg lights. However I decided to go with the Electric Sky ES300 V2. I have a 36x60x80 tent. Here is a pic today I will post a pic next Friday and see if there is a difference.

Only 4 days under the new light and I think I will go to 12/12 and start flowering. These plants are loving the new light. Or is it too soon for flowering?

too soon , I do hydroponics and after thirty days of growth at 24 hours on, I switch to 12/12 . look for preflowers at the nodes.

@Pizmopete yeah it looks like they are already starting to flower. One is for sure.

It’s literally never too early to switch to a 12/12 light cycle, strictly speaking. You have complete control.

You have two considerations that are in tension with each other; You probably need to up-pot to the final container before you transition to flower, but your tent isn’t huge and the plants are going to become crowded if you let them veg too much longer.

I would up-pot AND flip right simultaneously, if I put myself in this situation.

I’m with @KeystoneCops. It’s a small tent for that many plants. I would flip now if it were me. You can expect 50 - 100% additional growth in the few weeks after you flip (if they are photos.)

@MidwestGuy @KeystoneCops
Thank you for your input. The tent is 36x60x80
They are in 5 gal pots except 1 is a 10 gal. This is my first grow from seeds I just threw together what I had here at the house. Do you think 5 gal pots are sufficient size for final pots?

Should be fine if you are flipping soon.

I changed my timer today they will be 12/12 starting tomorrow. How many plants would you suggest for that size tent? And I have a 4x4x80 how many plants would you suggest for that size?
Thank You

I happened to be at the right place at the right time today at the local hydro grow shop they have to order 10 hlg lights for each order to get a discount they had an order for 9 hlg 650R lights he said if I would get the 10th one he would let me have it for 850 thought that was a deal I couldn’t pass up. So that will be the light going into my 4x4 tent.

That’s a lot of light for a 4x4. You’ll love it.

I wouldn’t run more than 4 smallish plants in a 4x4. Others might have different opinions.

@Mech420 can always dim it and run it closer to the plants. Or buy a bigger tent down the road. Awesome light.

Those containers read smaller to me. If you ARE going to up-pot, do it now. I don’t know what your grow medium situation is. If you’re fertigating, it’s probably not an issue to stay with those 5 gal containers because you’ll have plenty of root mass. If you’re in water-only soil, it’s a different matter.

@KeystoneCops @Pizmopete my grow medium is kinda home made I have compost here in the farm got chicken poo, cow poo, bat poo and got to be some worn poo because that’s where we get our worms to go fishing. It’s real dark and dense so I mix in some peat, perilite and some generic non nutrient potting soil. PH is 6.3 I feed a little shot of Dr. Jimz Chicken Soup once a week. Now that some are starting to show flower I will change to Bloom Kaboom.
I purchased a 4 pot autopot smartpot xl for the smaller tent. Be my first try with Auto pots and smart pots. Haven’t decided on my grow medium for this setup still researching. I’m glad I found this site lot a good people with a lot of knowledge and I appreciate all the advice and input and help I can get. Thank You
