Hi guys I’m on day 21 and things look ok overall…I think But every day when I’m checking the plants after the 4 hour dark period the leafs are a bit droopy but by afternoon they look normal… Yesterday I watered them but the leafs are drooping a bit almost every day…
I use 400 w mh bulb boibiz soil light mix 90% allmix 10% and advanced nutrients fed them twice so far the leafs look healthy…my temperatures and humidity are in normal ranges since day one… although the humidity first two weeks was a bit lower than it should as I didn’t had humidifier yet…
From what I understand the plants will naturally droop a little bit once they start anticipating the light cycle. But in my opinion this looks more like an overwatering issue?
A number of things can cause drooping (pH, overwatering,…) It’s probably nothing to worry about, as plants will droop from time to time. It usually occurs near lights on or around lights off.
I’d give it a day or 2. If you still have drooping we can get some more information and go from there.
My plants droop every night before lights off but come back up when lights are back on. If you’re getting constant drooping, I’d suspect over watering.
Here’s a time lapse I made of my plants over a few days. They droop and come back constantly based on watering/lighting.
Oh man I hope it’s not watering and is just the anticipation of light as some others said
Thanks man that’s awesome to be honest I’m seeing something similar on my plants…the drooping is only in the morning after I turn the light on the get back up super sharp so I think its not overwatering??
I understand and thanks for your reply once again I really appreciate it!The drooping as you said it’s around the dark cycle so I hope it’s not overwatering
Well, they look perfectly fine in those last pics. I wouldn’t worry too much. As long as they aren’t droopy 24/7, I think you’re good.
Hey man thanks for your reply! Thinking to keep my lights 24/7 because from what I understand around the dark cycle they dripping…Do you think it’s gonna effect the plans the change of the light schedule?
As long as they bounce back when the light is turned back on, don’t worry about drooping. It’s completely normal. I personally would have a LITTLE dark in your schedule. Maybe 20/4? That’s what I run. Anyway, plant drooping is completely normal. Do you water them before lights out? That may be why they droop as well.
Cool, thanks man il go for 20/7 and il see how they react…I’m watering always after the dark period when I turn the light on. Is there any chance they are drooping because of umidity? And one last thing I had a water schedule so far but from now and on I will not have I will have to see how much they need and I still can’t really understand, so far the biggest gap without water was one day,my top inch of soil it’s always dry I spray times to times but I don’t want to spray too much in case of overwatering…the maximum water I put was 220 ml yesterday and I’m day 22…is that sounds correct to you?Now I’m thinking to leave two days gap and water with 300 ml…Any thoughts will be much appreciated
What was your humidity at? I doubt it. Unless there’s a crazy drop or rise at lights off?
So at this stage, you shouldn’t be spraying the leaves at all anymore. I keep an eye on how much water I give them but definitely don’t keep them on a schedule. As you mentioned, you should be watching the top soil to know when to water. I personally think you should water until runoff. You’ll see that after that, the top soil will take a day or two to dry out. Time to water again at that point. This is how most if not all soil growers on here will water.
PS - If you choose to water like this, you will see leaf drooping but they will come back. It’s normal
Good morning my man and thank you very much for the reply it really really helps me!!!Makes sense I will follow your advice and guidance!!Cheers
I just watered mine before I left for work. One took a full gallon until 5% runoff. The other was just under a gallon. (I have 5 gallon fabric pots so if yours are smaller, you may not need as much) Hopefully this gives you some perspective on how much water. Now that I watered this morning, I don’t expect to have to water until tomorrow evening, maybe even Friday morning or evening.
Hey man thanks for the info again it does help a lot!!!Mine is 3 gal pots, today I waterd them each 250 ml and I had different ppm and ml runof for each plant so I will change the doses and ml of water next time but I’m starting to understand when they need water, the plants look healthy but uneven for few cm I will try to understand each plant differently and their needs but next time I will go for the same strain this is a really helpful community and saved me already twice thanks a lot!
