Dragsterdad rookie outdoor grow

I do have mites, yes, but seeing as I’m outdoor and close to harvest I just cut out the fan leaves that had mites on them, have been more worried about my WPM issue…although this morning has been windy so :crossed_fingers:its stays in check today!

@dragsterdad I just read back to the begining of your post…where abouts on the east coast are you? My plants started flowering going into the last week in july, maybe a touch before, similar to yours. I’m planning on harvesting 2 of my 5 this weekend and then following up the next couple of weekend with the rest…

Bout in the middle 100 miles off coast
I have 3 really close hopefully and a couple that started a little later. They started about the same time as yours. My first grow so I was expecting later.

First grow for me as well, I’m in NJ, not costal…started mine in begining of April, went outside in May.

Gonna set to watch and follow you to the end! Best of luck with harvest my friend!

Hey same to you hope your harvest turns out well.
I have an indoor grow also. Tried to kill em but they bounced back.

Maybe I’ll get to test out an indoor grow this winter :grin:

You should. I went kinda crazy and popped 20 seeds. Don’t know what I was thinking. Right now I have 13 beauties and 2 low performers went outside. Annnndddd they are in flower. Didn’t think about that when I put em out. So will see how they do.

I’m gonna have to let the dust from this grow settle before I ease into an indoor operation…my wife is a little…irate…with the situation as is…

My wife supports this little venture and what I have learned has helped her with her gardens. That certainly helps on this end

These are literally the only plants that get any care on my property…my wife was ok with what I was doing…until they all started to flower and shot up to 6-8 ft

Awesome. I had to tie down one to keep it below fence. I should have a microscope Sunday so I can get better trichomes pics that I can see better. I can see with a loupe but I need to see better.

I am finally able to see my trichs a little better. What I’m seeing and what y’all see may be two different things.
I think they’re about ready to harvest. I was gonna give em another week maybe

Two of my outdoor ladies look like this. My small girl isn’t quite this far and had bud rot so amputated a decent sized bud. Didn’t see any other spots

If that’s all buds and not on sugar leaves, I’d say they’re ready when you are. Lots of amber!

@elheffe702. It’s all buds took a ton of pics and 2 plants are at this stage. One not far behind. And 2 further back. These two look pretty awesome for my first two to get to harvest ever. I was so happy I forgot to take pics of the plants.
I flushed as well as I could today and I’ll have some help Wed. So maybe then. Was gonna put them in my tent dark overnight but scared to bring them in my grow room.
Can I put a large black trash bag over them for some dark time ???

It’d cause the humidity inside the bag to spike…I wouldn’t.

Got a closet?

These ladies won’t fit in any closet I have :+1:t2::+1:t2:
I can put them in garage Tuesday night till Wednesday at 430. Temps will be 75-79 so won’t be  too hot and will be 99% dark.
Wife has my back but won’t let me put in bathroom because of very recent spider mite episode. Which is under control at this time

Final living update for Ladies # 1 and # 2. These were the leaders of my 5 outdoor ladies and because of me they had a rough time. But here we are, the night before harvest. They are tucked in the garage for some dark time so they will be ready when I get off work.

Unfortunately my short bushy lady has bud rot. I tried cutting out the mold back to clean growth and have a fan on her. She’s prolly a weekish away from being ready. I may have to cut her early to salvage some bud

I keep hearing horror stories about bud rot! I found a tiny bit on a popcorn bud when harvested, however I have been able to somehow avoid it in an seriousness on the rest of the ladies thus far (knock on wood). My buddy, who I gave 2 plants back in may, had a case of bud rot starting on a pretty dense bud area on one of plants and was also going away for 2 days. He decided to harvest both plants rather than risk coming back to rotted ladies…

I hope they make it to harvest for you @dragsterdad !

It’s pretty bad. I may take her down this weekend. She is dried out but  I don’t know. My other 4 are 5+ feet tall and this one is 2.5 feet and bushy. Guess I’ll find out soon lol
