NMM’s 2023 Outdoor Grow

Hi all,

Super excited for this year’s season! I was trying to delay starting seeds for another week to try and keep plants smaller this year, but lost patience especially as I watch everyone’s amazing plants grow in this forum.

Here are my grow details:

Seeds/strain:

  • Jagerschnitzel photo/fem. This is Jager x ((Obama Kush x Micky Kush) x (G-13 x Micky Kush))
  • Jager punch photo/fem. This is Purple Punch x Jagerschnitzel f1

Soil: coast of maine stonington

Amendments: cost of maine stonington fertilizer, langbeinite, fish bone meal, kelp extract, bat guano, humic acid, silica, worm castings, molasses, BioAG, greensand

Pots: 10 inch plastic pots and then 15 gallon fabric pots

Climate: northeast (7b) but in a microclimate that varies greatly throughout the year.

Lights: T5 to get seedlings started and then sunlight

Started: dropped seeds in water 5/24 (took 48-78 hrs to show a taproot) and broke through soil 5/28 and 5/29.

A little more background: this is my 4th outdoor grow and I’m still learning with lots of help from all the great people on this forum. I decide to try some new strains that have been marketed as early and fast flowering strains and mold resistant. They originate from an outdoor grower in Oregon (Bradley Danks). Bud rot, especially at the end of the season, has been a huge struggle. Morning dew from late September onwards is the biggest culprit. I’ve tried autos, photos, indica and sativas, and they all get it. The Durban i grew last year was the most resistant, but it flowered late and I had to harvest before it was really done.

In the past I’ve grown organic when the plants are still vegging (for ease) and then used fox farms trio (beastie, cha ching, open sesame) in flower to beef up the buds. This year I think I’m going to stay all (or at least mostly) organic since that is how I grow everything else in my garden and I’ve never had any nutrient issues.

Here they are today. The Jagerschnitzel (JS) on the left germinated first but slowed down a little in soil. The Jager punch (JP) is growing a little quicker.

Looking forward to growing with everyone this season!

Didn’t realize there was a tag limit on posts so tagging a few other outdoor growers @Sj2019 @W.B.elpaso @plumbdand

And since there isn’t much to look at with my cannabis grow, here are some shots of my berry and veggie plants. Peppers and eggplant didn’t like the cold nights we were having. Need to start veggies a couple weeks later. Thought it might be a warm spring like last season.

Thanks! I’m looking forward to seeing how these strains turn out. It’s kind of a gamble since I’ve never tried them, but if they finish early and get frosty I’ll be one happy dude.

80s still here, lows around 63 , I know the extreme heat is coming in the next few months, never fails, but what a wierd Memorial day weekend, it was 49 ° rain and wind, I can’t ever remember it being that temperature that late

There is so much sand here, all that rain just runs through it , Hopefully you get some rain soon , Weather Man said Record High Temperatures for the North, be careful outside don’t overdo it , Heat doesn’t play

We’re in the high 70’s to low 80’s during the day and low 50’s at night for the next 2 weeks, with 0% chances of rain. Humidity finally started to come up a little to 41% and the dew point is 33° when the dew point gets above 50° that’s when the monsoons start.
