Here are some pics of my outdoor plants. I haven’t managed to kill them.
To me it appears that they are transitioning to flower. This is new to me ( even at my age)
I was not expecting to go to flower till August or Sept on the east coast
So is that what this is ???
And that’s how it goes.
They’ll start with a few white hairs and then poof. Budlets.
Over the next few weeks they should take form and start getting fatter.
Peace for now @dragsterdad.
Yep she is starting to flower. Get ready to see her grow and go through her flowering stretch. Once you see her growth stop she will then start bulking up and swelling
I see what you guys are looking at and I don’t see flowers; just new growth.
Can you take a closer pic up in tight to a node to see if you have flowers forming? You may just be showing signs of sexual maturity and may have a couple of weeks yet til preflowers form.
Hornhead I received these 5 plants about 2+months ago. Guy was unable to keep them. They were in small pots, rootbound and unhappy about 12-18 inches tall.
So quick answer. Bagseed. I don’t know the genetics.
All but one are tall. Tallest is over 6 foot. Had to do LST to keep her below fence
I’ll take a pic soon. It’s only 110 outside with the heat index. Lol
Tallest one is lanky and didn’t fill out much.
Shortest one is a totally different plant.
All seem healthy today lol
Back to my original question.
Would this growth be its transition to flowering stage. Looks to me like it’s “stacking” leaves with fuzzies in it
I have never gotten a plant this far so I don’t know
Thanks Y’all.
Hello @dragsterdad, I had seen where some one else was battling heat, could be starting early because of the heat, some cover the black pots with camo netting to keep cool and water like twice a day, keep her out of shock, in ground is different story, but here where I am heat gets over 100 you cannot grow tomato plants outside in the black fabric pots. got to keep the roots as cool as you can in that heat. Nice plants !
Out of my 18 plants I had back in March the tallest 5 turned out to be Male…not saying they are but the males grow taller to be able to drop more pollen on more females…that’s about right lol the males have one thing on their mind…just food for thought…they dont look rootbound and unhappy anymore lol nice job
