Happy Frog, but I am going living soil next batch.
Welcome to the forum! My apologies but I seen the tag above (Thanks Storm!) but I’m headed out the door with the kids. If there’s something specific I can help with, by all means! Otherwise I’ll get caught up on the thread when we return.
Welcome to the forum, we are glad to have you here.
Plant looks great, especially for your first grow.
I just took a good look at your grow.
You are heavy in flower. I see more color coming than issues.
Looks a tad hot to me with nutes. Not crazy and can ride it out.. Lighting typically is never an issue at our level. Very hard to overpower full sun plants with our lights.
Looking good. A little thick but the popcorns will be yummy.
Just my thoughts.
Water source - local tap water (soft) allowed to cook off for no less than 48 hours for chlorine/choramine to say bye-bye.
See attached for nutrition. I followed MFG’s advise regarding dosing, frequency and when to use each.
Only other augmentation was a small administration of Epsom salts @ 1 Tbsp diluted to 1 gallon. Old gardening trick that I use on my tomatoes.
If I can get away from Happy Frog I will not complain. That stuff is expensive for what you get and can be replicated using components.
Agreed. The damn things took over my tent to the point that I had to get a larger one. Yeah, for the next couple of waterings I am going with just water to hopefully let the plant get back some equilibrium. Am keeping a close eye on pistils and trichomes for color changes. You like brownies, as I am going to have a shitload of them. LMAO
Happy Frog this go around, but will be going to living soil next time.
Others have suggested the same thing. My plan is for the next two watering to be “water only” to hopefully get some equilibrium back. Regarding the bleaching; the plant just took off and a couple of the kolas got a tad bit too close to the light. That was adjusted last night. Basically, I just missed it.

I figured it out. Journal title started but will have to wait a week or 2 for entrys.
Ok have you done any of the maintenance flushes for salt removal? They are listed in the feed card for that nutrition source?
Hi again, finally had some time to get caught up and have some in to provide and/or reaffirm on what others have provided.
PH has been tested and is just fine @ 5.8.
This is probably a little low for growing in happy frog. 5.8 is good for coco but would like to see you a little above 6 for soil grow.
I realize some people wail against autos, but I like the set it and forget it aspect of them.
The reason most will not like autos is because the “set it and forget it” aspects are very inconsistent. They will not all flower on a long light schedule after 4-5 week maturity period. Additionally, those that will could flower like they should and if you have any early troubles could lead to a 6" tall plant starting to flower. It happens.

Chlorine will off gas, you can increase the rate of this by adding an airstone too. Chloramines will not off gas as easily and usually require a bonding element or more complex treatment to get them out of suspension. You can usually find info on your municipal water in government reporting and it may be helpful. The concentration matters too, small amounts are not likely to cause you significant problems.

Have you also been following recommended flushing? This is pretty important if feeding per the ff schedule.
Welcome to the best place for help @DocSwink the growers here are top notch and very knowledgeable we never judge. for a first grow you have done great have you done the schedule flushes for that nuet line and there feed is usually over kill so would recommend 1/2to 3/4 there recommend dose ![]()

The nutes I used were used on a 1 watering with 1 watering without nutes. That is the reccy on the bottles. I kept a calendar so that my old ass kept track. As for a scheduled flush, no.
As for the watering schedule; That was not done on any set time schedule, but more of when the soil was dry ~1-2 inches down.
Welcome to the family @DocSwink …
I will tell you I’m in FFOF and that crap has me going crazy chasing pH numbers. Do yourself a favorite try not to stress, but your pH is low and Fox Farms is notorious for this happening. I saw that you’re changing to another medium next grow, me too. Check out my topic where I’ve asked the forum to tell me what they grow in and what nutes they are using. Might be beneficial for your next grow.
BTW… plants are not looking bad…
Welcome @DocSwink I too am a newbie and you are in the right place these amazing people will be there for you and answer questions without judgment. Your plants look amazing !
Welcome @DocSwink! The plants are looking good but they are showing some nutrient burn. Quite common with fox farms. I’m less concerned with the output PH as I am the output PPM. Any idea what your runoff PPM is?
No, but I can get it. Today is a watering day, so I will do it then. Thanks
Addendum: When watering, I am careful about not overwatering. I water about 1/3 at a time, let that soak in and repeat. Once I see runoff, I stop. Runoff is ~15-2ml with ~1500ml total volume of water. I’ll post later what I come out with.
