When you have the amount of material I have to process, the second run (after dry ice) isn’t worth the time or the alcohol (because you do lose some). Now if I was running low I would try a second. And if I didn’t use dry ice the first run, I would definitely do 2 runs.
Hell, I have two in the garage that are FULL of elk and moose. Plus the main refrigerator in the house.
So questiion. I cant use my oven to decarb… can i use a slow cooker fill it up half way with water and put the jar in the water? Put the slow cooker on low?
As long as you can get the flower or concentrate at a temp of 180 for a few hours you should be good. All youre trying to do is increase them temp of the flower or concentrate for a long duration. The time depends on the temp.
Great thank you

It’s just like a pressure cooker but not quite… same concept
I’ve made budder in a crock pot for to many years to count. I tossed in the buds and a bit of water with the medium (butter, coconut, honey, oils, etc) on low. Let it run 12 hrs for decarb and then strain. I switch to keep warm after 6 hrs. Turn mix hourly and add water as needed to keep level even with top.
Edit: no water with honey.
Of buds. Not the pot. Didn’t want any confusion because amounts of buds vary.
New Recipe! @Budbrother @Low @MadamCalamity @GreenJewels
OK, so this is truly an amazing, decadent desert. You can infuse the batter or the chocolate that is melted on top OR BOTH!)… alternately, you can use infused butter like from the MBM.
Hash-teroids
Ingredients
Brownie Base
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (175 g) semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp (8 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 tsp espresso powder
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/4 cup (30 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (20 g) unsweetened natural or Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
Kitchen Sink Toppings
- 4 oz (115 g) 70% cacao dark chocolate, chopped
- 3 tbsp (43 g) unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup (20 g) pretzels, chopped
- 1/4 cup (9 g) potato chips, chopped
- 1/4 cup (25 g) chopped Oreos®
- 1/4 cup (85 g) M&M’s®
Instructions
Brownie
- Preheat the oven to 350 F /180 C. Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with parchment paper then grease with butter or nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- Heat the butter and 3/4 cup (130g) chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals and repeat until melted and smooth. Stir in the sugar, vanilla, and espresso powder and concentrate.
- Beat the eggs into the chocolate mix one at a time. Add the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Stir until just combined. Stir in the remaining 1/4 cup (45 grams) of chocolate chips.
- Evenly spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 28-30 minutes or until the brownies are just set.
Toppings
- Place the the chopped chocolate and butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 15 second intervals, stirring between each interval until melted and smooth (Stir in concentrate here - optional, but you risk not dosing correctly.. could be fun hahaha).
- Pour the mixture over the top of the warm brownies and then sprinkle with chopped pretzels, potato chips, Oreos® and M&M’s® on top.
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing.
- Cover and store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.
