I am currently setting up my second grow tent and want to know is it important to have a carbon filter. I have an ac infinity fan that i am running but was pausing on the filter do to a cost. So how important is it to have?
How much smell can you deal with???

If you’re cool with the whole house smelling like pot, then you don’t need it.

Must not have anything flowering yet. The scent / odor / smell is…understatedly noticeable.

Just started to flower but I can barely smell. I guess I will wait for the family to tell me if it smells to strong for them.

Peeps got busted cuz mailman walked by and smelt something. Neighbors gonna smell it, Amazon dude gonna smell it. Flower is loud

I run 3 during late flower. 2 scrubbers and 1 on exhaust
I don’t use filters. But i also love the smell when it’s flowering. It seems like mine don’t smell much until i flip to 12/12. 2 days after that the goodness permeates the house. When in full flower you can smell it outside the house. Its a unique unforgettable smell.

I haven’t used one yet. Where i am, the only ones that smell it are my cats and peeps who partake.

No yet, but with winter arriving…
I plan to connect the filter and exhaust into the lung room, vice attic, as currently.
Heat retention would be benificial and cooling will not be an issue.
Smell reduction and heat retention could make the filter a worthwhile asset.

Can leave it off till flower. I put mine on during later flower. Ruins them running all the time when not needed.

I love the aroma myself and do not filter. Last time I got busted growing they took my equipment I went to court pled no contest didn’t get in trouble for 6 months and it was automatically kicked from my file. They’re letting people who murdered people out of jail with a hand slap what are they really going to do to you for growing 3 plants in a closet? That would be my defense go find a prosecutorial precedent where they refused to prosecute serious crime.

Yeah I’m a moron!!! I was growing my bud and holding and serving bud for my buddy. Well he sent a dude to my house that I wouldn’t piss on if he was on fire. Long story short dude got busted a couple days later with oxy’s and sent the bulls to my house for the raid. I wanted to go to trial so dude had to testify hoping he’d end up in a ditch. They came with the deal I took it.

Thanks brother!! Yeah this was like 10-12 years ago. Growing becomes legal here in July. They will not and can not stop me. At this point you could hire a private investigator and come up with so much dirt on prosecutors you can almost guarantee perpetual freedom and if that don’t work $$$$$$$ will!

Tarzan and I are older so we have few handy people help with projects. I use filters. Only one guy was allowed in the basement and was tipped with bud. So far no issues.
Fence project was put on hold until next year. I will then have a locked enclosure for outdoor growing.
It has been legal so long here that I think most use the dispensaries. We were worried some one might see the plants and they would be chopped overnight.
I figured we were safe since a person five doors down had hemp growing in his front yard for years but you can’t underestimate the behavior of people when they are desperate.
