If your worried about smell getting out I would say no during veg and yes during flower🤘

If you do not use a filter during flower stage depending on the way the wind blows , If you have neighbors close they could possibly smell it. Good luck

I vent into my crawl space above only out is thru all the roof vents and the soffit vents which is along and around the whole house but I smell it strong outside my house coming back from getting my kids from the bus stop can smell it across the street. We though my neighbors were smoking weed so we went to say high and introduce yourself as they were newer ppl and lol and behold they were not smoking it’s my house we all smell lol. They do smoke and love to party but we’re not the day we thought they were

Do you use a Carbon filter ? If you are in a friendly state i understand. Smell can travel quite a distance.

I don’t use a filter but probably should with how it smells outside 
. My neighbors most all smoke anyways so as long as they think it’s from what we smoke and not grow it’s all good lmbo

My outside grow got moldy this year, so I want to try growing in a grow tent. My question is, with a proper filter discharging into the basement, will that take out all the smell from the tent? I dont really have a place to vent to the outside.

No filter I belive works 100% but the quality of your filter makes a huge. Difference.
Don’t buy cheap filter.
Kootenay filters is what I’m replacing all my cheap ones with I learned this the hard way

A goog quality filter installed properly in reasonable environment and you won’t smell anything.

I’m running a 6"x24" Phat filter in my closet grow. Very impressed with it. Is VERY HEAVY though, is the only downside. But it’s been running pretty much non stop now for 7 months and I smell nothing coming from the other side.
