Hello everyone, this will be my second auto grow and wanting to SOG it. Been watching/reading all I can and still not sure about how I can do it without mainlining. I was thinking of just fiming or topping multiple times a week or so apart on the new growth and LST the branches to make the SOG.
This run is Critical Purple auto and Northern lights auto.
The CP is a week and a half old and the NL is 3 days old the seed popped in 2 days!!
Thank you everyone.

For a SOG I would run 1 gallon pots with similar strains. The manifold does help with the width though. What size is your grow space Brother. I planned on running 6 Sativas with 12/12 from seed drop. Seedling issues prevented that and I ended up vegging these with a 3 week light flip,
SOG of 8 WWs in a 3 x 4

SOG, Or sea of green, is a growing style that uses lots of small plants to fill your space. It works best with photo period seeds and you would flip pretty much right away to keep your plants small.
The grower has no control over the autoflower flower timing

I am running 2 levels and each one is 2x2x4. So I may have to just experiment with this grow.

2 levels? One plant above the other? How tall is your space?

About 7.5 feet tall.

Perfect size for 1 plant each Brother. Try a quadline or mod manifold…works great for autos. Top above the 4th node, leave the 3rd and remove all growth below then LST. I run this technique a lot. These ended up about 2’ tall. Plant on the left is the quadline, right is a manifold with only a single topping

Right on Brother, personally I think the first 2 weeks above ground is the most difficult

@OGIncognito I hear ya. I lost one Northern Lights due to I think the seed puck I used killed it.

We want to do a cold room grow to try and get the insane color changes on a critical purple but with summer coming on and such a small space to work in I think heat is going to be a struggle.

I’ve had mixed results with colors and temps. In my limited experience I’ve had some show color with keeping temps 68-76 and some at 78-85. I think the cooler temps may help but more pheno driven than environmental.
Grew this one last summer and temps were averaging 78-82
