Think I got one being a photoperiod not both autos?

Have grown about 20 or so plants here on this forum since 2021, recently bought some NL autos and cracked the pack open. Growing a second strain right beside it and that auto plant at the bottom started flowering at 4.4 weeks but this NL auto at the top has not started flowering at 7 weeks. Both seedling emerged together within a day.

On all the autos I’ve grown, never had one hold out to flowering this long.

I went ahead and flipped to 12/12 but was wondering what is the longest you’ve waited to have an auto start flowering??

What do you think?

The longest auto I’ve seen go without flowering was 12 weeks.

So you didn’t flip it? . Just let it flower on its own time?

Right now I’m growing seven different Autoflower strains and my Northern Lights is definitely the last all by itself in line While others have buttons and others almost

Is it possible they mixed up the NL photoperiods in the NL autos?

Seven weeks isn’t uncommon. We see posts like this all this time and members usually recommend going 12/12 to goose them into flowering. Dunno if that is bro science or not. I’m not an auto guy. All I know is what I have seen historically posted.

The 12 week reference I referred to I think I’ve only seen twice in the ~6 years I’ve been here.

7wks isn’t uncommon like @MidwestGuy said, but it is a little on the longer side. You can flip to 12/12 and that should get her going. It won’t hurt your yield in any noticable way. I’ve read of flipping to 12/12 to force them, then flipping back to 18/6 for longer hours, but it’s a risk if they are actually photoperiod. So long story short, I’d flip to 12/12 and let them ride lol

I also had a recent impossible auto. I think I actually did flip the lighting schedule to help.

Also, hey there @JustNikki long time no see

You can also lower the light/increase dli to encourage a stubborn auto to flower

Flipped them 7 days ago. So they should start to show signs of flowing this coming week.

The side benefit is this is going to be a nice sized plant now!

The one auto after flipping to 12/12 about 10 days ago is starting to show the very earliest signs of flower but not there yet.

Do you all keep a log of significant events like this for each grow?

Yes sir

I keep a similar log. I save a picture once a week for the standard and then additional pictures for events such as topping, before/after defols.

Your plants look good, I too am on day 10 of 12/12 in my tent. She’s showing promise after a slow, disheartening veg.

Edit: My plant was disheartening, not yours lol.

Lol! No worries either way!

Mine are a little smaller than normal due to being in a 60 F basement.

I post pictures on this site to keep track

Yeah I write down when they showed hairs and some unusual traits or specs yep
Edit like when one won’t tolerate the usual ppm or light sensitivity

I keep track of stuff but it isn’t written. I also take photos and post the biggies

I just use that white marker board during the grow and take a picture of it and post it on my grow thread to save it.

BTW, so glad to see old friends like you @TransplantedFarmgirl still on here after my long hiatus.
