Hello all, I’m going to post a couple of pictures off of some leaves that I got off of another one of my plants. Want you all to know that these are clones, I have been using the soil test kits that you can get from like Lowe’s and everything appears to be pretty normal with the exception of extremely high potash or k. Any advice that you guys can give me being that I don’t have a pH pin or a TDS meter would be very very greatly appreciated. Thank you
How about a picture of the plant and more of a description? There really isn’t enough information here to be able to properly help you.
Hi all I’m going to send you some pictures of a tray of fan leaves I just got through cutting off of two of my plants. I would like to let you know they’re about a week and a half or two weeks into flower, I keep them indoors and when I have a nice sunny day I put them outside! I have tried to use one of the little soil test kits that you can get at like Lowe’s and the only thing that really appears to be off would be the potash which I would assume is K, and that looks kind of like very high. Other than that I have been told I should have a pH pin and a TDS pin but at this moment I don’t have them so any advice would be very greatly appreciated
FYI I merged your topic as it has to do with plant issues.
Hello all, so I am about 2 weeks into flowering on some clones I have, and these strange spots are showing up?? I think the one maybe getting a touch of Nitro burn, but the other one with the brown spots has me wondering? Please Advise. Thank You
Looks like something may have gotten spilled on it, there’s a hint of nutrient burn, and the white spots could be pests.
Check for pests, if none are found I think everything should be alright.
Older fan leaves on the bottom often look like this, they get beat up the most.
Thanks for the info Covert! I am adding another pic, as I looked at the back side of the leaf! This is the ONLY LEAF that has that on it amongst several plants. And nute burn? Let me guess, ppm/pH? LOL I am still pretty new at this, and have not acquired the pens as of yet! They are pretty high $$ right?
Looks like insect poop to me…could be specks of soil too.
If it’s the only leaf, I wouldn’t be overly concerned, especially if you didn’t see anything moving.
Nutrient burn is often associated with higher PPMs. If I were to pick one meter, it would be a PH meter, but a PPM meter is also helpful to understand how much you’re feeding, or overfeeding. PH is a higher importance to have, if your PH is off, the rest of the grow can be affected into late flowering.
As far as cost for above pens, they’re affordable, and the cheap ones work until they don’t, and then order another. As you get more experience, you’ll have a better understanding what are acceptable ranges, and what ranges your water is when it comes out of the tap, or your well.
This comes with a TDS and PH meter. Bluelab is the best of the best, but they do work well. I think you can get by with this for at least a year. Eventually they do fail though.

Covert, Thank You so much for all of the information I’m going to be looking into that
Let’s try to minimize the number of open threads so others can ask their questions.
Greetings myfriend! I guess I am fairly new to forums and threads and all of this you know information that you guys are giving me in here but I was under the assumption that I asked my questions the people send a reply and then I can reply back to the people that have sent a response am I doing something wrong? When you said minimize the number of open threads I didn’t quite understand exactly what you meant can you please elaborate. Thank you
@Internetmaster2u if you ask all of your questions on one thread, it’s easier for others to follow along, and offer input. It also allows people to understand previous issues with your grow (if any) and makes the process easier to diagnose and assist with the issue.
Opening a new thread for each question isn’t always recommended is all. A lot of times many questions are related, and could be consolidated into a single post.
Oh ok gotcha. And “Thank You”, im just new to posting in here and trying to get used go ALL THE RULES! ![]()
