Been using a 6" acinfinity fan and carbon filter for 5 grows now. Fan in on 24/7 basicky 4years now it been perfect. The carbon filtet 6" is on its 5th grow and still works perfectly (well beyound expectations) so stick a fork in my a$$ im dome.
My AC filters work great. Can’t smell a thing until you open the tents.
Thank you all for your replies. My next questions, will a 6" filter cover up more odor than a 4" in a 3x3x6 tent) How often do the filters need changing? Does even the best filters really eliminate all grow smells or should I back it up with air freshener, candles etc.
I run 6" exhausts and 4" intakes. It’s not so much about which covers the smell better, but which one is going to move enough air for you.
This is a copy and paste from another post I have going: Looking at both AC Infinity and Spider Farmer 3’x3’ 6’ tent kits here is what I see. AC offers only one 3x3 light at 240w with Samsung LM301B diodes. (side note AC advertises another 3x3 light but it is in development and ready for sale) Spider has two offerings both 300W with one (SE series) featuring Samsung LM301B diodes and the other (G series) using Bridgelux diodes. The Spider kit comes with the G series, I would switch it out with the SE series. The AC kit is $700, The spider with the light change would be $618. I lean towards Spider because of higher wattage and many seem to prefer the Samsung diodes also it is less expensive (not by much granted) Please give me your thoughts
Well for better or worse this is what I’m going with, Mars Hydro Smart FC3000 300w ight. The tent is AC Infinity 3’x3x’6’. The Air Filtration Kit is the AC Infinity PRO 6", Inline Fan with Smart Controller, Carbon Filter & Ducting Combo. The Clip Fan is the AC Infinity CLOUDRAY S6, with 10 Speeds, EC-Motor, Auto Oscillation. At this point I’m going to stop this post and when the tent is set up I’ll be be back with hundreds of new questions on my next steps. THANK YOU one and all for your help and support. I’m looking forward to the next step.
