Hello y’all I am having trouble finding the proper tent kits and soil medians. I started with MG, I know I know not the best stuff to use. I am looking for a solid Cheapish side grow tent kit. Most of them I am finding in the 36-36-72 only has exhaust fan as filtration system. But the larger ones have a actual filtration system. So basically I’m asking if anyone knows of a site I could look up for the median an tent kit. Thank y’all in advance for all the help.
AC Infinity is a really good brand that a lot of people use. They have good-great customer service, and they offer complete kits with exhaust fans, controller, carbon filter, tubing, lights, etc. or can build your own depending what you need.
Beginning with tents, there are quite a few grow tent companies, from cheaper to better quality one. Zippers, light leaks, vent openings are what separates companies. There are tent companies that sell all in one kits, typically including an exhaust fan, charcoal filter for smell, light and maybe an oscilating fan.
As to the 3x3 not having filtration , I think that you mean a carbon filter to damp smell. I have an exhaust and filter in my 3x3. You can also buy Ala carte. I use all AC Infinity, a bit pricy but customer service is excellent.
Soil medium is a different question. Various soils, depends on your strategy. Some buy preloaded soil, which gives you about 4 weeks before feeding. You can opt for base soils or coco that require you to feed at each watering. So you should decide what style grow you want to do. I did 3 soil grows and switching to coco this time. Advantages and disadvantages to each style.
Read thru grow journals, it was the best thing I did before starting last year. Good luck, in my profile is a link to my first 3 grows, lots of mistakes but learning.
Above has you covered.
What size room is dedicated?
What is the largest tent you can fit?
What is the electrical capability of the circuits available?
These constraints will dictate your needs for equipment.
and then there is the $$$$game.
as in Each purchase will truly become functional with another component purchased.
HLG Lights
AC-Infinity controllers
Fans
Oscillating fans
filters,
the list can become endless.
Kits are usually the stuff not selling well.
The kit components can easily be replaced with the upgraded version with little research. Getting the correct equipment the first time is cheaper than three upgrades.
I would willingly sell you my excess and replaced already equipment, but shipping would be bad.
AC-Infinity can support all you grow needs with a comprehensive bunch of equipment that integrates well.
Again, your goals and grow restrictions influence your needs.
Electrical circuitry and temperatures limit-restrict or end my growing indoors.
Legal must be you first goal.
Ok I didn’t realize that the kit I was looking at had a 2 way exhaust fan. With charcoal filter. And as for the size of tent I was going with 3ft,3ft,6ft just to get a feel if I like it. I have a full size basement 53ft long 15ft wide but only 5ft tall. So with an length don’t rly matter. I’m currently doing a Runtz auto in my closet that is 36,36,72. But I also have another free bedroom that could do 5ft wide 5long 7tall. The taller one outside is THC BOMB feminized regular.
Something to think about in size and quality vs spend. If you go to cheap on certain elements you compromise your yield, and possibly the grow.
A tent that rips, or has light leaks in zippers will put a damper on finish. Contrary to Good ol’ Red Green, duct tape doesn’t make everything better…
A poor light will give smaller buds that could wind up being all fluff.
Cost wise AC kits are pretty good. As deep diver mentioned a splurge on HLG lighting is worth it.
The AC-Infinity fans are DC-pulse controlled and awesomely quiet.
The Vivosun 6" fan drove me out of the lung room
Leaving my ears ringing and eyes rolling.
Not the T6’s (400CFM) or T8 (my spare, w/ large filter).
I use a T6 exhaust to attic or second T6 exhaust filtering into lung room.
The A6’s are smaller and for moving tent air into HASHA, if needed.
All are independently controlled (AC-I).
I sleep well at night, no longer garden tent watching.
My advice GO BIG and use lower settings, vice go small and overspeed.
Thanks for the info, could you tell me what all I would be missing out on if I bought the 2x4 kit instead of the 3x3? Other than the obvious space difference and the light in the 3x3 is slightly bigger?
This is why I was asking about tents and kits. I have a bedroom that I can dedicate to my garden for ventilation exhaust and all. I am very interested in making it as correct as I can. I honestly am excited to compare the results from the tent vs what I’m use to in the closet.
Yes, more space.
What light will you use?
I have a 4x4 (two) and it fits the area.
My lights will work in the tent, at max, if temps are good.
The charcoal filter would help in the room.
A window A/C-heater would be a bonus (control temp and RH better).
Go for it!
I was looking at a few different kits but AC-Infinity has a little smaller tent kit with the light I was thinking about buying but the other one has full kit in the size I am looking for. So for now I guess imma get the full kit then buy the AC-INFINITY lights.
